Stalking deer and fashioning blinds.?

What are your perferrences for deer stalking and making hunting blinds?

when stalking deer keep the wind in you face if you keep it at you back your scent and sound will travel farther ahead of you alerting the deer before you get a chance to see them. the best time to make a stalk is right after or during a light rain or snow when the leaves on the ground are quiet and your scent doesn't travel as far when it is wet out. as for blind logs and sticks work well. if you have the time and are on private land a couple of months before the season you could use some old carpet and wire. string the wire through top edge of the carpet and hang around a few small trees or posts. they also make quality popup blinds that range from 75 to 300 dollars that work well. the main purpose of a blind is to conceal your movement. hope this helps. best of luck

try to keep the wind at your back but control your scent move very slowly moving thru the woods too fast you'll never see a thing other than running off the other way (while walking heel toe ) you need to look for horizontal lines you know the back or movement use your surroundings as a blind bushes high grass corn Field walk across the rows slow and easy

deer stalking : find your signs rubs ,scrapes,tracks,crap stalking deer is good if you get impatient sitting in a blind you might jump a deer while walking which is what I prefer plus it is a good work out,Deer blinds are good if the wind direction is in your favor, you should set the blind up with a good shooting lane far enough away to mask your scent but close enough to get a good shot neer scrapes,rubs ,tracks ,crap.GOOD LUCK
