I have a huge crush on this guy who lives in my apartment building, he smiles and says hi to me when I see him, that is the best time of my day, I feel so good.He is a cop and that is the only thing I know about him, I know his car and everytime I come home from work I check to see if he is home, I dont know his apartment number.I just like him so much it is driving me insane, what should I do?

When I finally said hi to the man who was to become my fiance, we had been smiling from across the room for a year! I finally got up the courage to say hello and ask him out for coffee.
So, my advice to you is to strike up a conversation when the opportunity comes along. Once you are acquaintances, it will be much easier to ask him out for coffee, or whatever other activity you'd like.
If you're worried about rejection, do what I did: be casual, ask him out as a friend. If there is any chemistry, things will naturally go from there—they did for me!

Seems to me that the most logical solution would be to ask him out to lunch/dinner.
If you don't know him very well, it probably won't have a huge impact on your relationship with one another if one's never been started. What have you got to lose?

Forget it, most cops are not very nice or loyal to their women.
There are all these girls called " badge bunnies" who throw themselves at cops, so they think they can always get something on the side.
