After the kidnapping incident your grandson may feel like he can't trust anyone. No one was there for him during the kidnapping so he thinks no one is there for him now.
Your grandson needs to learn the world isn't out there to go him and he has many people looking after him & on his side.
Take things slow with him, take him out so he can learn to interact with people again.

Take him to see a psychologist, they will aid him in releasing a few demons, grudges and negative thoughts and will help in accept the past is the past.

As for your husband, he needs to learn his grandson is going through a tough time and needs to settle down with the attacks.
He should be helping him & not kicking him while he's down.

He's trying to help himself but it sounds like he doesn't know how. I truly suggest that you get him some therapy. Kidnapping is very serious, and he sounds like he doesn't know how to sort out all of his feelings. I will pray for you, God bless you both.
