Aww he lovesss youuu. :) Whoever tells you to medicate ur 4 year old because he cries for you is retarded! It is seperation anxiety just like everyone is saying here. Its NORMAL! I have 3 childern myself and my youngest one had the same plm. Try to talk to him too and make sure that nothing has happened to him that u might be unware of. Maybe some mean kids that pick on him or a stranger that makes him feel uncomfortable. Fears pop up at anytime and it is our job as a parent to make them feel safe not just shove meds down his throat to make it easier. ANY doctor will tell you that. Just keep your eyes peeled to see what exactly scares him and prevent him from flipping out give him his security it will pass I promise you it will pass! If u try to make him stop when hes not ready it will make it much much worse! Good luck!!! melissa.

HE IS BEING A CHILD , GIVE HIM THE LOVE YOU HAVE TO GIVE . THE MOST COMMON REASON FOR THIS BEHAVIOR IS USUALLY A STAGE KIDS WILL GO THROUGH. WAIT UNTIL THE LITTLE GUY GETS READY TO START SCHOOL..... A PRE- SCHOOL MIGHT HELP OUT WITH GETTING HIM TO WANT TO BE WITH OTHERS. THEN AGAIN JUST BE HAPPY THAT HE DOES ATTACH HIMSELF TO YOU. MANY PARENTS DONT GET THAT CHANCE OR SOME DON'T EVEN GET THE CHANCE TO BE A PARENT.....

ALSO IF THIS JUST STARTED ONCE HE CAME BACK FROM THE GRAND PARENTS HOME ....WHAT HAPPENED OVER THERE ....DID HE WATCH A SCARY MOVIE . DID SOME ONE DO SOMETHING TO HIM INAPPROPRIATELY???? FIND OUT...

THE LADY WHO SAID GET MEDS ...THAT SEEMS TO BE EVERY ONES ANSWER THESE DAYS ....THEY DON'T ACT RIGHT , DRUG THEM........WHAT AN A@#

In my opinion, when he reacts like this, put extra care.. be with him longer and spend some time talking to this innocent boy maybe all he wants is u.he is very attracted to u. Crying and screaming, pls don't yell at him take him to a conner and talk to him tell him you'll be back soon and don't worry.Don't beat him or scold him as he is only 4 maybe in his later age he will get over it. Anyway good luck

Separation anxiety can happen at anytime.Just reassure him and dont push him to do anything he doesnt want to do.Keeping him close is the best way to make him feel safe and eventually he will snap back.

its called seperation anxiety. He'll get over it. I recommend a moms day out program and talk him through transitions...a calm reassuring voice can be helpful
