Sucralose has a brand name of Splenda, and is made from rearranged molecules. The FDA looked for carcinogenic, reproductive and neurological effects of usage and found none.

No. This sounds like Nutrisweet press kit spin.

Nutrisweet has been found to cause microscopic holes in the brain tissue of mice. Nutrasweet is uber-bad news.

Splenda is, so far as is known, clean.

I'm putting a link to a page on About.com which discusses this. The bottom line is that Splenda has been tested pretty thoroughly and at this time, it hasn't been found to cause cancer.

but splenda is made from chemicals in a factory.

They say no, but I don't trust those words. Won't touch it. Using a small amt. of sugar if I must I believe that is safer.
