I am the youngest of three sisters. Our ages are 36, 42, and 45. I could not have better friends than them. We are extremely close and turn to each other for almost anything. We take weekend girl trips together and call each other for advice. Two of us live within 20 miles of one another the other lives across the country. But that doesn't seem to matter. We always make time for each other. It wasn't always that way however. I was the annoying younger sister and the two older sisters rivaled one another. It wasn't until we were all older adults that we became close.

Hmmm......my sister and I are 3 yrs.apart. But when I finished college... the next weekend I moved 800 miles away and married.. I have never returned. So for 23 yrs. we have only seen each other 3 times a year. She is not the type to call or write letters. I always did. I quit when I had a major crisis in my life happen--seperation from husband. She was a little more judgemental than I would have liked about me . I would have preferred her support. Anyway, I love her....and we get along fine when we are together......but real close....no....I am a big talker and she is not....she is more like my husband that I left. More business and serious than me.

I have 2 sisters and there is a big age gap here too! Although I'm the youngest I take care of everything and that makes it hard at times. And the oldest 2 don't get along very well so that makes it even more hard! I love them both and as long as I can visit them one at a time I can handle it, but if they are both together I go crazy!

I have a younger brother and we used to fight a lot of the time as kids but we have always had fun together. We are very close now even though we live 3,000 miles apart. We have a good bond and encourage each other so we are pretty close.

there is 6 yrs between me and my younger brother.
we didn't really have a close relationship until 2yrs when my brother was involved in a bad motorcycle accident he was seriously injured and given 24hrs to live which he pulled through then we were told because he had such severe head injuries he may be severely disabled without much quality of life but again he pulled through that too. he is held together with pins and plates but he is as normal as he was before the accident apart from a slight limp.
this really hit home for me and the thought of losing him and never having the relationship we should have had gutted me.
i spent every spare minute i had between my kids and my work with my brother after that i took 3mths off work when he left hosp and i helped him through rehab and physio. how many sisters do ou know that would wipe their own brothers back side cos he cant do it himself.
im grateful for every minute i have with my brother now as he is with me.
i moved abroad last yr after a lot of soul searching and my brothers blessing but i speak to him every night on the net and e see each other as often as poss. he is still an irritating pain in the *** but i wouldn't have it any other way now.

I have 2 sisters and 1 brother. 1 sister 4 years older, 1 sister 6 years younger and 1 brother 10 years younger. i am more close with my older sister. my younger sister seems to have a world of her own and my brother seems to be engrossed in level up games on the computer. you can say, we're not that close but we're trying...

Yes, I'm 20 and my sister is 17, we are very close. We make each other laugh all the time, we encourage each other, help each other with essays and homework, take care of each other, very protective of each other and always there for each other in the tough times.
If I ever lost my sister I don't think I could go on.

I have a brother one year older and a sister 3 years younger. We fought like crazy when we were growing up, but got pretty close when we hit our 20's. Ours is not a close family compared to many, but we do get along and we are there for each other when needed . . . .well, except for my brother cause he pretty much isn't "there" for anyone but himself.

same as you, my brothers and I have huge age gaps beween us but I am the only woman and they don't care a bit. They don't even talk to me. They are so busy living their lives that it is so sad to admit that they don't remember I exist. One time, the eldest told me we have nothing in common but the blood. And that's true. I grew up in a dysfunctional family and sometimes I try to understand why things are like this but I'd rather praise the Lord because I know He is still in control of my life. I am glad you have a nice family. God bless.

Anyways hopefully as me and my sister get older we will become closer and get along. And then there is my older brother. We arent close at all i never talk to him at all he just things im some immature loser. even if he was nicer we have nothing in common. Its really awkward around him. (hes 4 years older) --emmy
