Why don't you ask my brother? He'll probably grunt at you and then say, "Well, it's what she wanted to do!" LOL. If your brother or sister is doing this, they're suffering from gender dysphoria. They really need your love and support right now, even if you don't understand.

There is nothing that you can say or do to change your siblings mind. Most people who are under going gender reassignment are doing because they aren't comfortable as the gender they are born in. Would you prefer that someone be miserable to make you comfortable? Especially, if it is someone that you love.

Help them pick a new name...:)

I personally don't want to change my own gender, but if one of my siblings felt so strongly about it that they wanted to do it, I would support them all the way. And I'd love them no matter what was under their pants or skirt :)

If my sibling was of sound mind and had obviously been struggling with gender issues I would support him/her totally. Sometimes you're born with the wrong stuff from what I've read/heard.

I have no experience with this at all, but have wondered what i would do if one of my children ever made that decision. It's not up to us to judge anyone. It's their life, and they want to be happy .. and in the end.. doesn't everyone deserve happiness? The best thing you can do for them is to support them and continue to love them. You don't have to understand, it's not your life. Life is all about love and acceptance.

Understand that, thats the way they want to be. Nothing anybody says will change their mind, just be supportive. Take It from me I wish I couldve been more supportive of my family.

It would take a major mental adjustment, but they would still be your sibling.

It really and honestly isn't your business if that is what they feel they must do in order to be able to live and be happy within their own skin.
