I don't believe there is a hell. Why would a supreme being have petty emmotions like venegence? What use would there be? He wants us to learn from mistakes, and he forgives...so why a hell? It's a bit harsh.

I am Wiccan and believe that we all travel on our own spiritual path. Some are what I like to call "scare 'em so they join us!" religion. I know so many religious people who are hypocrites and go to church for a way of popularity and socializing and say "I'm this religion, I'm better than you-you're going to hell". Quite frankly, I don't believe in hell. So...I am not worried about what I do as long as I support my golden rule: An it harm none, do what ye will. As far as other religious insights, that is for another forum...I know I am already going to get a lot of thumbs down for this post alone just for admitting I'm Wiccan.

Our Heavenly Father does not damn anyone to hell. You damn yourself. God forgives all your sins if you repent and are truly sorry for them and if you accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior. It is that simple. That is grace. You can find the mercy you are looking for at the foot of the cross. Jesus died for you.

I agree, you're absolutely right; and it is correct that we don't go to heaven for even one sin. that's why I don't believe in the traditional Hell. Instead, God has "many mansions" for everyone. their are many levels in heaven so you don't need to worry about become a next door neighbor of a jerk or worse. but true hell is knowing what you could have done to get in a higher place then you are at. In other words, finding yourself lower then others and knowing exactly what you could have done to be higher. Of course the highest level and ultimate goal is with God. Does this sound better then hell, even Paradise?

My dear friend,

Whose voice are you listening to?

People in their attempt to aid God often times get much wrong and cause problems. They mean well but they need to mind their own business.

Listen to the voice of God inside you. The one telling you that you and all people are wonderfully made and were called good even knowing what mistakes in life they may make. Listen to the voice that says My will is life, joyful and abundant life. Listen to the voice that says love, love one another, love yourself as I have made you, love your neighbor as yourself. Listen to the voice that says I have died so you need not. Listen to the voice that says be forgiving and I have forgiven you, be merciful as I have shown you mercy, love others as I love you.

I do not care what preacher this or dr. that tries to tell me about God. I know God personally and would rather hear it direct.

As far as damnation goes God has never wanted anyone to live out of God pressence (this is hell as God describes it. A place that is absolutely void and removed of God and God's pressence) God shares with me "There are those that just refuse to believe in me. Even when presented with irrefutable evidence. They choose to go there, I do not send them. Unfortunately, once there they often want to change their minds but at that time it is too late because I have no power in that place because by it's very nature it is outside of my reach. I mourn for each and everyone of them every day. The choice was theirs and I gave them every opportunity I could. It is very few who actually get there, most that do not come to know me in earlier life, accept me and my grace, mercy, love and forgiveness at the moment of their death and are saved. Now this does not mean I condone or ignore poor behavior such as hate, selfishness, greed, violence and the like. Each will need to answer for the life on earth that they lived but, mistakes and poor judgement does not cause damnation."

God is Holy, God is Perfect, God is Pure, God is Light. God is Just. God is Love. This is God's character.

In God's presence there is holiness, perfection, purity, light, justice and love. There is no darkness. There is no sin.

If God let sin and darkness into His presence it would compromise His character.

God created man to have fellowship with Him. God created man and it was very good; without sin. Genesis 1:26,27
Man (generic) is sinful because he deliberately CHOSE to DISOBEY God and sin, therefore his fellowship with God was broken. Every human being carries this sin from conception and is sinful. Therefore, if God let sinful man into His presence it would compromise His sinless character. Man deserves to be separated from God for eternity. But God is love and wants to re-establish the fellowship that He once had with man.

God does not want anyone to perish (be damned to hell) but (would rather have) everyone to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
The words in the brackets are my amplified version. See Biblegateway.

God, Our Merciful Father, provided the GIFT of His Only Begotten Son. The MERCY is in the shed blood of His Only Begotten Son who willingly took on himself the sin of the whole world so that His Father could not look upon Him so that, for a moment, the Son called out "My God, My God, Why have You forsaken me?" The shed blood of His Only Begotten Son covered the sin, of those who accept the GIFT, so the sin was, is and will be blotted out, never to been seen again by God. This MERCY is also called grace as it was not deserved by man.

Men who love God, repent of their sins and embrace (accept) his GIFT will be rewarded with His presence. Men who reject God's love do not want God's presence, and God, being a gentleman, will not impose Himself upon them. Men who feel that they are good enough to be accepted by God or have created their own way that they believe leads to perfection can never enter God's presence because they still carry the SIN of pride.

God does not damn people to hell, people damn themselves to hell.

There are only 2 ways to live. See matthiasmedia's 2wtl

Actually, you get hell for screwing up ONE time... You don't actually get to mess up your whole life.

And I hate to burst your bubble, but the end result is death, not life, so you actually get to spend eternity just plain dead. No thoughts, no feelings - nothing.

The mercy part is that you don't have to accept what you've earned. You can choose to accept God's gift of Life instead.

It was mericful to let us in to heaven at all after we have sinned. He has allowed us, through his mercy, to repent of ANY sin we commit and join him in heaven. If you dont, then its YOU who has damned you to hell. God has poured his mercy over us, its not his fault if you wont accept it.
