looking at my avatar you think I'm not the kind of guy who would answer a question like this. But I am.

Getting to the serious business, I'm proud of you for asking something like this on the internet considering your age (Although you did say you are addicted to the internet). I've been depressed before and it wasn't good. I had the same exact symptoms you are having. Every time I thought of somethin funny, I'd go back to my grumpy face in an instant. I also had very little friends. As for no energy and your weight, eat your every day foods. (fruits and veggies that give you energy. Bananas are a great source for energy.) If your school has lunch rec, go there as many times as possible or maybe you could try other ways to get involved in sprots or activities. If you play a sport or outdoor activity every other day, you can keep up your energy level. Don't go beyond you rlimits on that or you will lose energy even more. School counselors and docters are great people to tell, but your parents should be the first to be notified. I'm not saying I'm a docter or any kind of professional, but i went thru this expirience myself and want you to get through better than i did. Sorry I thought I'd keep it a little shorter but this is serious. Do whatever you feel is right. It's your life. Live life at it's greatest. My thoughts and prayers go to you.

Hi There,

You really don't have to go on...I hear ya.

Digestion problems are almost always symptoms of depression, as well as lack of energy, ups & downs with weight, no energy, etc. You really need to talk to someone who can help. At 15, you might not feel comfortable talking to your parents, and, no offense to your parents, but some parents don't know how to help, and in turn cause kids to feel worse. BUT, you have help around you. Talk to a teacher who seems to get you guys, or your guidance counselor. I am an 8th grade teacher, and students who suffer- which is what you are doing- with depression are among the population of kids I work with. I can honestly tell you that you are not alone. You guys are under tremendous amounts of pressure, and no matter what some people might say, being a teenager is not easy.

In the meantime, try to drink a few glasses of water a day, try to eat a few times per day...not once. Also, try to do a little bit of exercise...walk away from the computer for just a little bit at first, then try to build up. Exercise, water intake & taking in calories throughout the day might help...but you need to talk to someone. Even if you don't know what's making you blue, talking brings things out. It will be confidential & you will not be judged.

BTW...good job on the fiber intake.

I was depressed when I was your age too. I would lock myself in my room and stay online for hours, or sleep as much as possible. I didn't have many friends, I was shy and had low confidence. I eventually found interests in other things, got a job and met some new people. Your situation is not uncommon and there's a good chance you'll grow out of it.

Talk to your parents about seeing a doctor. There are many low-risk anti-depressants your doctor can put you on, such as Cymbalta. Or, if you decide to attend group therapy, you would be able to meet people your age who feel the same and maybe make new friends. Good luck, and I hope you feel better :)

ok, i know everything really kinda sucks right know but you need to talk to your parents, it doesn't matter which one, whom ever your closer too. If you can't bring yourself to talk about it all, write it all down so your'e sure you get everything out you'd like to say. And really you actually need to say, it's your health and the fact is even though you are only 15, youv'e all ready been through alot you know you deserve better, to just plain feel better. There are plenty of things that could help you out right now, but support would be so good to have. So you just have to do it, you'd be suprised if you told someone all this stuff you'll feel a little relieved and some pressure off. I wish you the best of luck!!

Absolutely everything you have said....leads me to believe you are severely depressed. I have been there. Depression messes with every single part of your body. Your physical body and your mental. I don't know if you are close to your parents or not..but you really should talk to them. Get help now while you are young..don't let it ruin your life honey. If you aren't close enough to them to feel comfortable talking about this..then talk to someone else, preferably an adult. I wish you the best of luck!

You are doing just fine. Relax It takes a long time to master aura control to get rid of depression. Remember depression is all about friends and family You will soon be able to get rid of the bad expectations you learned about sex and marriage and feel good again.

Look inside yourself for the answers. Ask yourself what you need and push yourself to go for it. Everyone thinks they have the answers for you, doctors, therapists, and your parents, but no one knows you like you do.

I suffered from depression for a long time and was on meds, going to therapy, etc... But I had to realize that no one in this world can take care of me like I can, and I made some changes in my life. I cut out friends who weren't good for me, I started getting excersize and eating better, and I started expressing more positive feelings.

I dared myself to do things I was afraid to do, and now my confidence reflects that. That's what I realized I had to do, but I only found out from evaluating myself.

I am a lot happier, but I still have a way to go, and that's ok.
