I love Cava, Frexinet Brut.

I love Moet, and I love Chianti!

Cava wins everytime for me though, or a good Vino Verdi! Portugese of course!

Sounds like you prefer austere white wines, with plenty of acidity. You can find such wines in almost any country, but typically in cooler climate areas. Here is a short list:

Gruner Veltliner (from Austria)
Chablis (the real stuff from Burgundy)
Rueda (great & cheap from Spain)
Rieslings from Clare Valley (Australia) fit the bill, too, as they are bone-dry.

I have to agree with you on the cava, althoug maybe try a few Italian Proseccos, too. Great sparkling wines.

As an aside, I would stay away from high-octane (over 13 percent alchohol) as that tend to give whites a "sweetness" to the finish.

I love Blossom hill, it reminds me of the days when I could drink a whole bottle and not have to worry about getting up the next day. These days I am limited to one glass just in case I need to get up to my 8 month old son during the night! Worth it though, he's gorgeous!

The german Wine Dornfelder a red wine. This reminds me of summer as it tastes of most of the summer fruits, really great as a social wine too!

Any wine that is nice to drink and brings back memories. One wine may remind you of one place and another of another time just as good. All good memories should be treasured, just like good wines.

you just won me over as soon as I read Portuguese of course..
great choice

it reminds me of times with my grandfather and him making wine..and all the large barrels in the racks some just going in to sit and other waiting getting ready to drink and of course the barrels he used to use to fill the bottles with the finished wine...
his win was popular when he was a live...since then ..no one does his work anymore...good times gone..he passed when I was young..

smile
good luck
