I am waiting for the new one to come out (Sony Cybershot DSC-N2 10.1MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Zoom )
Any advice/opinions on this camera?

It's still too early to know how it performs because reviews of it are limited...but according to the review below it is a good camera...but they say that if you can find the cheaper N1, then maybe buy that instead.
The N2 supposedly has high ISO capabilities, but I have seen test shots and they start to show noise from ISO 200. And the 10 megapixels it offers has no real advantage over the N1's 8.1 megapixels.

It is a good camera in the mid - price segement. With a decent pixel density, and a reasonablly big LCD display. The zoomed pictures do not pixelate. The colour reproduction is good. The battery time leaves a little to be desired.
On the whole, in case you are a hobbyist / amateur, this is a good camera for you.

A CyberShot is a very nice camera. The quality is very high. I have one with 4.0 megapixels.

I bought a Cyber-shot 6 megapixels yesterday, still learning how to use it.
