Yes, it would, and would poison any animals that might eat them.

Morality aside...
Killing pigeons will not remove the problem. Dead pigeons will quickly and easily be filled in by young squabs. They live off an ecosystem just like any other animal; the more food and shelter available, the more pigeons there will be.
Remove the food and shelter and you'll remove the pigeons. Short of that, you can either buy professional products that can be strung on platforms they perch on (netting or wire) or go at it yourself with similar products. This will prevent them for landing and roosting.
Some products claim that their chemical poisons only frighten the bird and causes them to alarm the others with screams and whistles. These fail to consider varieties of birds that DO NOT sing. Pigeons and most other Doves do not vocally sing like other birds and therefor, the poison will not have the intended affect on them. It will simply poison all of those birds, eventually killing them.
Poisons, chemicals and even the tar-like products companies sell will not discriminate between bird species. Although it might seem like a good idea, remember that most species of birds are protected and harming them is a federal offense. In the USA, pigeons, sparrows and starlings are some of the only non-protected birds on the list. Not only will groups such as PETA, the HSUS and ASPCA start breathing down your neck, but the government can also jump in and prosecute you if it's found any of the protected species have been poisoned.
Don't do it.

POISON is a terrible solution AND it's probably illegal too.
Think of the other animals, even pets or children that may come across that poison. Check with your municipality and it's animal control bureau. I've found that a good way to take care of a pigeon population is to put some feed out on your driveway or road. Once they/ve settled down for a good feed, just take them all out at once with a car; much more humane and approved of in my jurisdiction.

Either poison or if there is very many and they are seen as a healkth hazzard you can contact the state or feds and they should rmove them. We have a coupl aof thousands at the plant and the community complained of dead pigeons falling our of the sky(from poison) so the feds cam ein and removed or distroyed them.
If they are just in you personal area (house or barn) you need to poison them or use an air gun. If any excapes they or their offspring will return.
Maake your home or barn or living area so that there is no place for them to roost or live to raise young.

I live in a world with people like you, ignorant murderers of innocent animals I want you OUT~! I can promise I would never use something as idiotic, indescriminate and cowardly as poison.... Grow the f*uck up and use your brain to make the habitat undesirable for the birds which are probably actually ROCK DOVES, killing them is cruel, ignorant and short-sighted. If you make the habitat permanently undesirable for the birds they will all leave and stay away. Sorry for being so rude but I hate people like you who think its ok to kill animals that "annoy" you and act like thier lives are of no value. The truth is it's people like you who have no value...

No, poison it not the answer...you will be inadvertently poisoning other animals as well such as coyotes, raptors, or corvids that may eat the pigeons (dead or alive). Try this website for some humane ways of deterring pigeons:

Poison is not the answer, what happens to the dog or cat that eats the bird, they become poisoned. Check with your local wildlife office for suggestions. As long as people put out food for them they will come.

Poison is okay but dead pigeons are a bit more disgusting than live ones. Where is the infestation? What is your "area"? Get yourself a big bird of prey (live or fake) and use that monster to chase away the pigeons. (I have seen live hawks chase pigeons away in our 'hood.) Even clay owls perched where the pigeons like to roost should keep them away.

ok, enable's say I knew extraterrestrial beings are gonna abduct me and erase my ideas 24 hours in basic terms before it occurring. i'd collect all my closest acquaintances, those i for my area love and in basic terms attempt and positioned onto words what they have meant to me and that nonetheless my ideas and memories would be long previous, as long as i'm myself i will by no potential overlook them. i'd ask my mothers and fathers and a few of those closest acquaintances for forgiveness for each and all the flaws that I even have positioned them by using. And final, i'd in all probability rob a band, shuttle to Las Vegas and then thieve or purchase a Corvette ZR1 and race in the process the wasteland to l. a. interior the nighttime (i've got continually wanted to do this).

Poisoning animals is against the law and could cost you serious jail time so I wouldn't think about poisoning them
