Don't do atkins, in the long run it'll cause heart damage and brain disease. Its not suprising that atkins himself died of a heart attack. If you simply need a meal plan, weight loss program go with south beach, but follow it closely. It'll jump start your metablolism, but you need to follow it and realize that you can't lose it all at once. Its about changing how you eat as well as what you eat. Its better to lose 15lb a year and keep it off than to lose 15lb in a month and have 20lb of gained weight the next month.

First - great job loosing the weight.
Maybe you need some balance in your life. Relieve the stress. Cut back on the stuff causing you stress. Go for a walk. Read a book. Down time is good too.
Your low self esteem may have more to do with your lack of balance than with your extra weight.
You probably heard this before but I'll say it anyway. Rapid weight loss plans where you only eat one kind of food don't keep the weight off. As soon as you start to eat healthy again, the weight comes back.
There's a book about healthy eating habits that I love called 'French women don't get fat' By Mireille Guiliano. She has a really good perspective on food.
Good luck.

Take Tris' advice above. Dr. Oz's book "You on a Diet" is great. You loose weight relatively quickly and develop a healthy lifestyle so you can keep it off and keep feeling great about yourself, no more yo-yoing. Congrats on loosing the weight in the first place, but if you don't develop healthy habits you will continue the back and forth weight gain and loss which can be more damaging.
Best of luck!

There is a Russian saying - "eat breakfast yourself, share lunch with a friend, and give your dinner to your enemy". Which basically means as it gets later in the day, eat less. Eat the most in the morning, and try not to eat anything about 4 hours before going to bed. Otherwise, everything you eat in that time period will not be digested as fast because your organism is slowing down before you go to sleep.
I know it's hard not to eat anything at night, but you can combat that by drinking lots of water or tea (green tea is good because it's a good source of antioxidants). Or you can snack on low-calorie veggies, such as celery or something. Water/tea and celery-like veggies will make you feel full. Sometimes when I really wanna eat something late, I just chew gum, it helps me take my mind off of it.
Start working out. The easiest you can do is start with 50 crunches every night before you go to bed, and up that every 2 weeks so your muscles actually develop. Throw in some leg exercises if you want. Running is considered the best exercise as it works out virtually every muscle in your body, so if you have time, run about a mile every day (sounds like a lot but it's not). You can start with walking at first, and then it will become easier as you get used to working out.
Another tip is when you do eat, don't do anything else like watching TV or talking on the phone, or doing something online. That way you are paying attention to how much you are eating. When you're watching TV for example, you are eating to keep busy, not because you're hungry. Actually sit down at a table and eat.
Also, some color studies showed that if you eat off of plates of warm colors, you tend to eat more, and if the colors are cool, you tend to eat less. Just a cool fact.
If you eat at restaurants, when you start feeling full, don't make yourself finish the whole entrée. Always box it. Unless you are at an authentic European restaurant, the chances are the entrée is way too big for you to finish and not feel like you ate too much.

Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Loose weight) and you will have more engry. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads)in one and protien (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have none or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming, running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions, pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull, leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising, you do this on sunday so your body doesnt go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stilck with this you will have a great body. also drink aleast 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonals, Wendys, ect because there is nothing good for you on the menu's even the salads are bad (beaon bits, cheeze, dressing, ect) Good Luck :)

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!
