I'm so confused! I think I'm in love with my guy friend of 4 years.

I feel like I can tell him anything, but our time with each other is more scarce than when our friendship first started. We used to do everything with each other, but now we only see each other as we pass through the halls. There are times when I feel as though he likes me; a little tap on the shoulder or a cute smile as we pass. But there are times (especialy online) where he comes to me, telling me how he likes a girl but doesn't know what to do, and I feel like he only sees me as a friend.

The real problem is that I DONT want to be his friend. I want more. He's in my thoughts and dreams constantly ,and I just can't stand it. I want to tell him exactly how I feel, but I'm afraid it may change our relationship with each other, and I don't think I can handle the rejection. But keeping the feelings cooped up is just brutal. What should I do?

Say something...but make sure you pick a time when you know you'll have his full attention and he can answer honestly, without outside influence.

If you don't want to ask...try this...wear something sexy, or at least more noticeable then your normal everyday clothes, have one of your friends talk to him as you walk by. If he stops talking to her to notice you, have her ask him "what's up with that look?"...then later that day, tell him "my friend said you were checking me out"...the ice is broken...proceed with caution.

And remember...your young, a year from now you'll look back at this and laugh, life is to be lived! Don't be a whimp, follow your heart once in awhile, anything that doesnt kill you only makes you stronger!

Well coming from a guy, if he talks to you, he is interested in going further in the relationship. Since he has shown that he can be a friend, than he is a good choice as a boyfriend. We all know that having a "in my case a girlfriend" does not always mean that they are your best friend. Having someone as a best friend and a boyfriend at the same time is something that you should look for. Good luck.

You should definately tell him. I also was into a close friend, though she never had any idea because I couldn't work up the courage to say anything. I regret that now.
