Why do you need a concept like god to feel happy and complete? Are you so insecure that you can't live just believing in yourself, and the people around you?

Can you prove your life would be ANY different without all the answers that end in GOD? What's wrong with simply saying, "I DON'T KNOW."

Go ahead, try on some doubt..........

Who made the universe - I DON'T KNOW.
Where did life come from - I DON'T KNOW.
Why are we here - I DON'T KNOW.
Why do bad things happen to innocent people - I DON'T KNOW.
What happens when we die - I DON'T KNOW.

Did that hurt so much? Did your life suddenly change like you were struck by lightning? Are you now incapable of doing all the things you did ten minutes ago? Are you less of a human being, less of a mother, father, son, daughter, brother, sister, or friend? Is something now preventing you from facing the future, or being any less effective or happy?

It's all inside YOU. YOU make the difference.

Accept it, and become free.

I find it interesting that you feel Christians would be incomplete and unhappy if we didn't believe in God.
Did you notice your use of the word "believe" ?
You seem to need to believe in yourself to feel happy and complete.

Personally, I would rather believe and rely on a loving, caring, personnel God than believe in myself or any other human.

Anything that relies on "I think", "I believe", "I feel" etc are opinions.

There is a universe of things that I DON'T KNOW. And I really have no problem saying that.

But, there are some things that I do know. I know I can put dozens of circuit boards, chips, wires, transisters, etc. in a box, shake it up and NOT get a computer.
As simple as my thinking is, it is still far more complex than any computer made.

Actually, living the principles found in the recorded word of God makes me a better man, husband, father, brother, and friend.

You might want to look closer into what God has to say about your questions (not what a televangelist says, or what some religions say). You might find out that, while the Bible is not a science book, where it does touch on science, it is accurate.

Why can't I have God as a friend? No one bothers me about other friends I choose to hang out with. How is doubt in a God so much better than what I currently have?

I see no reason to change my beliefs without some possibility of improvement in something. I am already free, so that idea doesn't help.

PS - I have already done the doubt thing in the past, and I like where I'm at now much better.

guess what? i don't know. it's good for some people. people who are broken. or have given up. even if god is not real. isn't he still great in concept for those that his theory inspires to do great things when they had lost all hope? doesn't that in itself make god something to respect? quite frankly i am not christian. i don't know if i believe in god but i do believe that the concept gives people strength and that gives it a few good points in my opinion. i however don't like the idea that somebody else decides my moves in life and uses me and lives through me. thats why i don't like karma either. my life is mine thank u very much. i believe in a balance. something completely unknown that levels things out. no. not a math equation. just... something. something that i don't understand and probably shouldn't. i believe there are lots of things people shouldn't know. because as physically weak and soft skinned and defensless we humans are. we have an uncanny ability to meddle with things and make a mess of them in mere seconds. i doubt everything and anything. and i believe in everything that has a reason. not everything i see. i believe in feeling. in emotion and instinct. in choice and even... sometimes i believe in destiny. but i most of all believe in my own strength. i believe that being stubborn can be a good thing and a bad thing. i believe death can be a good thing even when it seems horribly unfair. i believe that good things exist all around us. things that quite a few of us would have destroyed. and i believe that is terrible. i also believe in the strength of the ground we stand on. and that someday a controlled kind of karma called nature's wrath is going to come back and bite us all in the ***. or at leats those who unbalance life. so tell me now. what do u believe? do u believe pride is a fault or a virtue? that death has some reason? that things u see are not always true and that the saying 'i'll believe it when i see it' can get u into a great deal oif trouble? and tell em when the king of peace cries 'to war!' have we truly lost all?

My belief in God, is the only way to real freedom, all those questions you don't know, through the knowledge of God I do know, and no I wasn't suddenly struck by lightening,I am not less of a human now, but, actually more of a human because of my knowledge, also, all the facets of my life improve from knowing truth that is where real freedom comes in by the knowledge of truth is what sets one free!

I agree, we don't know....and admitting that is not going to make our world stop....but the truth is, and I'm almost certain you'll agree, that nobody likes to be spoken to disrespectfully....the same way you would not become a Christian from hearing a preacher yell at you...If you truly have inner peace from the realization that you do not know the answers to life's mysteries, it should not be difficult for you to accept that not everyone will accept your words...

I know that deep within you are desperate to find the meaning of GOD. Just by giving something a form and destroying the form doesn't change the fact that the form itself that you see or imagine came from the ONE whom we humans refer to as GOD.

You need inner peace to understand this. So I wish you freedom from your misery.

omg!... (er...oops!) hey, you made my day!.. I totally agree w/ya! (I couldn't agree more..lmao) BUT.. be prepared for a lotta backlash (who do I want to write 'fallout?') You are one pretty smart feller. Yeah, it IS a bunch of total bulls*it.. religion is.. at times.. But, you know what, my friend? It has shaped our society.. Religious cults.. (Jones & that lil 'poison in the Kool-ade' trick? friggin' flipped ME out, way back when.) a little thing like the 'Crusades?' Don't be too quick to 'flush relgion down the toilet' my friend.. (It makes the world go around! sounds like it 'rocks my chimes' somewhat? doesn't rock mine.) Let me see here.. yes, it has power, faith and religion does.. whether right, wrong or inbeween (I tend to favor the inbetween approach.. er, crawl between the cracks?) later.. thanks for making my day.. (smirk)

You're right! It's all inside you because the breath of God was breathed into the nostrils of Man. So yes you accept Him or you don't. It's all about you.
