What would be an appropriate reply? I am thinking of saying, 'Your friends can join us some other day, but today it will be just the two of us'

If you want to be friends, then tell her it's ok, tell her the more the better.

If you are looking for more then a friendship, I think your line is cool, maybe try something more like" I was really hoping it would be just us so i could get to know you 1st...then I'll meet your friends"

Tell her her friends can come this time but you would like it to be only the two of you next time.

If she's asking to bring her friends with her it either means she's too shy or nervous to be alone with you or she wants to make it clear that she's not interested in you in that way. So let her bring her friends this time so she can get to know you better. If she's just shy, this should help her feel more comfortable around you.

Situational. in case you 2 in basic terms have been given off of a date and issues look to have been smoldering yet you 2 saved it distant, then specific. once you're a neighbor who in basic terms took out the heavy trash for her, no.

Your reply isn't important. She isn't interested.

She is just trying to be "nice" by agreeing to the coffee. Being honest instead doesn't seem to occur to them.

its most likely one of two things. 1) she just doesn't get that you are in to her. 2) she does get the hint but she doesn't know how to tell you that she doesn't feel that way about you, at least not right now.

she probably just wants to bring her friends along for support, she may just be shy and like you alot...

respond with what you're planning on saying... I'm sure that will just sweep her off her feet.

Doesn't sound as if she's into you if she wants to bring friends...
