If you're talking about the episode where the girl's boyfriend let her brother go and he died after entering the eating contest and eating at the buffet, then it is called Prader Willi syndrome. For more info check out:

Confused? Best answer I could come up with from a professional dieter - been there, done everything, got the t.shirt and still have to eat like a church mouse to keep the weight off.
. . and yet obesity is unnecessary - I put on a lot of weight with my first baby - when she was six months old the doctor put me on tablets called Duraphet M. I took one every morning for 6 months and lost all the weight - never put it back on until middle age - now I am constantly dieting and it's not necessary when Duraphet M is still being manufactured, and a lot cheaper than all the problems and treatments obesity causes!!

I've even been told my metabolic rate is slower than most!

Not sure of the proper name for it but Paul McKenna on his 'I can make you thin' show (and in his book) called people who suffer from this members of the empty plate club. This apparently stems from being made to eat every last thing on your plate when you were a kid so you stopped listening to your body and recognising when you're actually full and now have an eating disorder because of it! No wonder so many of us are damaged adults as a result of our childhoods!
