I've recorded a family video onto a DVD via my stand alone DVD recorder but when I try to use Nero to edit it on the pc it shows as a DVD Rom and says the disk structure is unreadable yet Nero will play it, any suggestions?

if your pc has a tv card it should not be a problem you could re-record and then edit. If it is reading as a rom can't you drag and drop the video files and then re-edit

not sure about that one. but maybe if you copy the dvd to a folder you mite be able to do it then. if your trying to do it strati from the dvd it will be wrigth protected so you can't edit it from there. also if you do copy it to a folder, once copy-ed check the property of the file/files to make sure there not wright protected.
