First, you need to book 30 days out. Second, shop around. Look at travel websites to see who has the lowest fare, then go to that airlines website. You are hitting ski season, so you arent going to find great deals to Utah, people who ski, have money and will spend it no matter what to get to the slopes. You need to be more specific, what dates are you looking at and what cities. Cincinatti and Salt Lake City are Delta's hub's and you can get the best rates with them more than likely. However, booking from Cincinatti can be more expensive than booking a connection from say, Cleveland or Columbus for example, it just varies.

Shoot me an e-mail or IM and let me know your dates and the cities you need to fly to/from. Honestly, you aren't going to find many "cheap" deals to Utah, especially during ski season. I've helped a lot of people on here educate themself on how to find good deals and been able to help find good fares with out going to the travel websites and getting trapped.

Travel sites are traps for uneducated people like yourself, you think you are saving and getting a good deal, when infact you arent. The base fare, what you see advertised, may be slightly cheaper than what the airlines shows, BUT when you price it all out, the booking fee's add up to be more than what the airline charges. Should you choose to use these websites, READ ALL OF THE FARE RULES BEFORE PURCHASING!! Price out the travel sites and airlines websites just before getting to the part where you enter your credit card info and see what the final price is with fee's. That should dictate who you use. It takes time and research to find the best fares, not just one single website. Sign up for Travel Zoo, its a weekly e-mailer that alerts you with fare sales, as well as go to www.delta.com and register to be a Skymiles member and you will get e-mails every week of their fare sales.

Another thing to consider.... If you have some flexibility in your plans, some of the bidding sites (like priceline.com) CAN offer a good fare. Priceline lets you select where you want to fly from and to, and the days you want to go, but doesn't show you the airlines or flight times.... You have to commit to purchasing the ticket (if your bidding price is accepted) up front, and the tickets are non-refundable and do not earn frequent flyer miles....

I advise caution, though! I've seen many instances where people think they are getting a great deal on priceline, but in reality a better fare can be had going directly to the airlines website. BUT--I've also seen cases where you can actually get a really good deal through priceline. (Typically for low-demand routes, often when you book last minute and the airlines are convinced that there is no way they will fill all the seats through their normal sales channels.)

How do you pick a price to bid? Shop around first. Look at a site like kayak.com and find the lowest few airlines you can there. Then, go to those airlines websites and see what deals you can get. (As other people mentioned previously, the airlines often have web specials that will beat the price that kayak or other travel sites show....) After you've found the best price that way, then you can make an educated purchase on Priceline. Try bidding 20 or 30% below the best price you've already found. If you get the ticket, great! If not--don't get caught in the "let's change something and bid a little bit more" game---you will quickly find yourself spending just as much as you would if you bought the ticket directly from the airline, and you will lose some of the flexibility (and frequent flyer miles!) that you could get....

Hope that helps!

You can lok at yahoo travel, Cheaptickets.com But you can offten get great deal right from the airlines. Look at the web sites for the airlines that fly out of your loca airport. Its easy to book online. You just find the flight an dfare and charge it to your CC you can even print out a boarding pass online as well. And since you have never flown you may want to know about the security and what not to take in you carry-on and checked bags. Look at the link below.

Try http://Luxe.worldventures.com They search all the other main sites like Orbitz, Expedia, Travelocity, hotel and airline sites and offer you the lowest price. You’ll save even more when you book it as a package like air and hotel together.
