We normally send cats home with postoperative pain medication after a spay. If your DVM didn't do that, call tomorrow and ask if you can pick some up. Do NOT give her any human meds, as many can flat-out kill her. Cats have metabolic peculiarities with pain meds, and the only one which has been extensively tested and proven to be safe in cats for use at home is one called Metacam. It's an oral liquid given once a day for 5-7 days, and it's available only through your veterinarian.
As far as tonight, she should be kept in a crate (or small dark room), and allowed to just rest/sleep it off.
The biggest problem we have (even without pain meds) is that cats tend to feel TOO good too soon after a spay....they are usually up running and jumping around the very next day like nothing ever happened. It's crucial that you don't let her do that for about a week, however. If she's acting like she doesn't feel good tonight, it's probably just the effects the anesthestic drugs are still having on her....so don't feel too bad.
Don't feed her tonight, because if she eats too soon she'll very likely vomit, which will put a strain on her sutures internally. Just leave some water available for tonight, then start back on her regular food in the morning. Do not give her any food that's different than what she's been eating for the past week, as doing so will only cause a GI upset. (Bad enough at any time, but certainly not a good thing right after major surgery.) Whatever you do, please do not give her any 'human' tuna or milk, etc. Neither is EVER a good thing to give cats.

Your vet went to college for in all probability longer than you have been alive... they say those products for a reason. i'm in basic terms upset they did no longer inform you why. next time be at liberty to ask a great sort of questions. They gets a commission the great dollars for a reason. heavily, your cat would be fantastic. this is important that they do no longer eat or drink the day of their surgical operation as their equipment has been by in all probability the main substantial surgical operation of their lives. Their physique is out of whack and needs to settle. If she eats or liquids, she is very probably to throw all of it lower back up. Vomiting is great no longer hassle-free on the abdomin section... the place she's had the surgical operation. She might or won't ought to circulate to the bathing room. they are in a position to be a tad constipated after surgical operation sometime. this is popular. lower back, think of of how you sense in case you have ever been incredibly sick or been interior the wellness center. Do a on a daily basis tummy verify to be sure she would not get an infection (fantastically uncommon). you would be searching for the incision internet site to be pink or the incision to get puffy. the two indicators of an infection. If she starts off to bounce up on the fixtures and different places she normall is going, this is fantastic. do no longer placed her up some place that she has to bounce down from. If she would not make the bounce herself, she isn't waiting. She'll be comfortable for somewhat so shop her quiet without tough play and no get entry to to exterior for a pair of week to establish the incision heals first. you will the two be fantastic! provide her a smooch.

Lots of love and sympathy. Actually, when I've brought some of my females home from spaying, they really only wanted to be left alone to rest that first night. Be sure to give the antibiotics the vet gave you, on schedule. Start with some soft food (maybe even some water packed people tuna) to spark her appetite.
You would be surprised how much better she will seem tomorrow.

if i was you i would just leave her alone in a nice quiet area where she can relax and be on her own. She will prob be a bit sleepy from the anesthetic. Just give her a nice light meal and some water and put her in a nice warm bed.

Just make sure she is comfortable, and check on her now and then, but just let her rest.
