Popcorn like all foods are good for some body types and bad for others. If you are the skinny type, popcorn is not so good for you.Butter and a little salt would make it healthier. If you have any other body type, minimize the salt and butter.

Popcorn is not bad for you.
But movie theater popcorn is loaded with coconut oil which is very high in saturated fat and trans fat, both of which are bad for you.
Check the label on microwave popcorn to see how much bad fat it contains. Different brands and varieties vary a great deal.

Air popped pop corn is good for you. Once you put butter, sugar, a lot of salt etc. on it, then it becomes junk food.

popcorn has a lot of fiber in it, so sometimes it could be concidered healthy. Now kettle corn and carmel corn, they have a whole lotta fat and carbs in them.

The only popcorn that's not too bad for you is the 94% fat free kind...usually microwavable. Just stay away from theater popcorn...that's the worst!

Depends lots:
Popcorn cracked in oil and covered in salt and/or toffee - not the halthiest thng going.
Popcorn "dy popped" and eaten plain or with healthy dip - fine - same as corn-on-the-cob basically.
