There can be physical or neurological problems.

If you have 2 dogs of the opposite sex, have them spayed and neutered.

This type of breeding isn't recommened,as the consequences could be birth defects, deformities, retarded. This would be sorta like breeding a Brother and Sister in a human.

If the dogs are crossbred and only 1 generation probably nothing. Pedigree dogs may have common ancesters and then inbreeding and problems can result. A close 2nd generation is very likely to produce malformed pups.

This is to bad for you. I'm sorry to have to say it's time you pack your backs and move to Arkansas or Kentucky it's the only way the puppies will ever fit in, being cousins to their siblings. Just Joking. They could be okay or they will come out deformed.

If either of them carried a gene for hereditary health problems or other undesirable traits, you WILL see those problems in the puppies.

You will see things that the parents did not show any signs or symptoms of.

puppies.

Sibling animals mate all the time in nature. The problem that comes from inbreeding is when it continues over successive generations allowing harmful recessive genes to come to the surface, and limiting genetic diversity.

That's a good question for a breeder or vet (which I am neither), but I would probably think it could possibly lead to birth defects or still births? I don't know, but I wouldn't encourage it to happen!

Not sure about dogs, but a girlfriend let her cats go nuts & THEIR kittens go nuts & eventually they were having half-kittens & kittens with missing limbs. If its just once, it would probably be fine. But get one of them fixed- they'll keep doing it.

Unfortunately, it can cause severe health problems. Best thing to do is not let it happen if at all possible.
