and i didnt say that i just stand around and say nothing, i say i am a christian because i accepted the lord into my heart, but my POINT is... there is a DIFFERENCE between informing people on what u believe and why you believe it AND THREATENING someone with it. Its all about the way you present yourself.

as you grow in the things of Christ you will learn that one of the most heated topics is religion.you can't force it on people, they must come to Christ my themselves and for themselves.only those of us who are true believers know the joy and peace that only God can grant.not to have to worry about thing because you know what ever it is when you put it in the Lords hands it will be taken care of.the word of God says it is better that you never knew me then to know of me and deny me.once you've told people about Him it's up to them as to what they do with the infro the word of God says with loving kindness have I drawn you to me,remember just because we live in the material world doesn't not mean we have to act or speak like them;we must set the example of what a for real Christan is all about God bless and keep you

one thing you have to remember is Christians. are human and walk in the flesh just as everyone else, we must all realize we are all sinners some of us do it openly and some of us hide it. As a christian i try not to judge others but sometimes you want someone not to get lose to this world you let your own opinion come out. Also we should not judge all people the same, I have been a christian for over 11 years and i have meet and talk some good people and some bad. believing in God should be a good thing because with the way this world is going we should believe in something and i rather take my chance and believe He(God) is real than believe he is not if in the end I am wrong want have i lost!!

Do you mean me?
Because the way you ask the question, it sounds as though we are all doing the same thing. You say "Can't the rest of you believers...", and it really sounds at first as though you were the only one who is not behaving that way. Rather upsetting at first reading.
There are a number of people calling themselves Christians that are just arrogant because they claim to belong to the "right religion". They are the religious equivalent of rednecks. They get a kick out of sending spiritual threats to others, and believing they are better than anyone else. However I do not believe this is a typical Christian response. In fact, I am sure it isn't. Because it has nothing in common with the way Jesus acted. It has more in common with the way the pharisees acted, and they were the ones who shouted: "Crucify him!" - They loved the drama of being able to sit in judgement on a popular character.

Gods will is that none should perish. If someone tells you that you are going to hell then tell them you'll save them a seat. A true christian would only pray for your soul and would not judge you for who you are. The Bible says many will knock but few will enter. Sad to say but many of the ones that think they have a free ticket might one day be disappointed. None of us are perfect and He doesn't expect us to be. Continue to love God and your neighbors because Jesus said these were the greatest of the commandments. I am so sorry to hear that you have had bad experiences with christians but please remember people can quote the Bible, go to church each Sunday and still miss the true meaning of the love of God. All you have to do is look up at the blue sky or the star filled nights. The birds singing or the fresness of the air before a storm. God is all around us and He loves everyone equally. Sinner or Saint.

You're a wonderful person for saying what you believe.
I am an Atheist, but I do not critisise ANYONE'S right to their faith, whether it be Christianity, Islam, Buddhism or friggin Oepiscapalian. But I DON'T appreciate respecting so much and in turn being belittled and put down for my lack of belief. I believe that there are radicals in every religion that really bring down the respect I feel for them, and Christianity is no different.
I was recently harrassed repetitively from a guy from Yahoo! sending me messages to repent and how I was the Daughter of the Devil and that I should just die and give up all the sufering I must feel for not believing. He also told me I was possessed and that no matter what I do in life or what I feel, I will be a bad person for ot believing.
This hurt and really upset me, considering he was sending about 10 messages a day for ten days...
Thankyou for showing that you realise this problem. <3

All through scripture Jesus and even John the baptist warned people to repent and turn from there ways or they would go to Hell, or rather a place of darkness with weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Your right about what you say about Christians pushing things on others.
Jesus commanded us in Mark 16:15 And He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned." That's pretty straight forward and it doesn't sound like a threat, it sounds like a warning.

Can i give you a big hug?? its rare to find some nice people in Christians now a days.lolzzz. Cheers you are absolutely right, unfortunately same thing goes in all so-called holly religions where people especially religious clerics loves to intimidate rest of the people by presenting God as a dreadful creature and them as their only true representatives.
Dare i say, i thought it is only good with Muslims, thanks for this question by the way.

I agree with you that we shouldn't judge anyone thats up to the big guy God. Although I will say when ppl do come down hard with questions sound like they are bashing christians or God it ruffles my feathers and I will speak up and perhaps sometimes get a little attitude no profanity of course. I will stand up for what I believe in when non-believers want to mock our savior.

That is a very good point!!! I know some pagan's, and they NEVER try to force feed me their beliefs, or make me feel bad because I don't believe as they do.
Christian's all through the ages have always tried to 'convert' people, why can't they just live and let live?

You are right, but remember, you are on a website that asks and answers questions. If you don't like answers you get, don't ask the questions and if you don't like people bashing your answers, don't answer! I have been bashed, reported, etc. I have found that this website is a little hateful, and really a waste of time because most of the time you get smart-asss answers. No offence to those out there that mean well. It is the evil that make it bad for everyone. Good luck.
