Layers are always a good idea, you can add volume and style without losing length.
If not then a really good hairpiece can enhance an 'up-do'.
You could try curling or waves, or straightening if you have curly hair.
You could colour your hair, highlights or sun kisses look great.
Then again , if you are really bored, a BOB is the trendiest style at the 'mo and hair will always grow back! Go for it, whatever you want!

If you want to wear it long, try parting on the side and first brush your bangs forward, then sweep behind your ear. This is much more sophisticated looking than brushing back or a middle part.
Part hair the same way to pull back into a low bun - I like to braid my hair first and then pull back into a bun.
Also if you have never tried hot rollers - you must. Straight hair is so boring! Experiment with a curling iron and hot rollers.
