I would suggest you and your class of children volunteer at your local Salvation Army. As a kid, I did just that and have never forgotten the experience. We served dinners, wrapped gifts (lots of them) recieved through the toys for tots program, planned a party complete with donated catering and acted as Santa's Helpers. I will always remember the impact that party had on shaping who I grew up to be. Those kids were asking for their own towels, new socks that were not hand-me downs and toothbrushes for Christmas. I went home feeling rich.....and swore to never take those things for granted again. Best of luck!
