The most common form of anemia is iron-deficiancy anemia. You didn't specify if you have that or another form of anemia, so I will base my answer on the most common form. If you have iron deficiancy anemia, you need to focus on foods that are high in iron. Here are some examples of iron rich foods:
Meats: Lean beef, lean pork, skinned poultry, shellfish, fish, liver, organ meats.
Egg yolks: Rich in iron, but very high in cholesterol and saturated fat.
Dried beans or peas: Pinto, kidney, lima, navy, chick peas, black-eyed peas, lentils, split peas, green peas.
Green leafy vegetables: Spinach, kale, collards, beet greens, chard, broccoli.
Dried fruits: Raisins, prunes, figs, dates, dried peaches, dried apricots.
Nuts and peanut butter
Grains: Iron fortified cereals (read labels), enriched breads, whole grain breads.

I cured my anemia by eating a bowl of fresh spinach with a glass of Vit C orange juice every day for lunch. I was unable to tolerate the iron pills as they hurt my stomach so bad, so I had to do something else. My OB/Gyn came up with the plan. The Vit C helps absorb the iron in the spinach.

A person suffering from anaemic condition should eat lots of spinach as a vegetable and soup. Secondly, eating raisins, currants and dates will increase his haemoglobin level in the blood. Eating good amount of leafy vegetables, salad, fruits and fruit juices will also help a person from this ailment. Drinking milk will supply calcium. There are iron tonics available in the market and one must take them to improve the haemoglobin level in the blood.

Iron. Meat. Red meat. Milk. Leghumes. Vitamins. Your poop will turn black but that is better than picking yourself up off the floor after you have fainted. Right? LOL! Talk to your doctor.
