The kids at church are having a bake sale to raise money for camp. I'm planning to bake some stuff with my 11 year old. I thought maybe a chocolate cake, some bread (in the bread machine), and some snickerdoodle cookies. But I'd love to hear what you think would sell the best - and any ideas you might have for us. Thanks!

cakes, doughnuts, muffins, cupcakes, cookies, and pies. You may want to sell pumpkin pie since Thanksgiving is coming up. Good luck.

Bake Sale Items That Sell

Sounds like you have a great plan. Bread sales great, so do cinnamon rolls. Cookies are aways a great choice. Since you are baking a cake, chocolate is the best (in my opinion). Pies are also great, but some don't like the idea of pies because of the refrigeration factor. Good luck, and hope the kids raise enough for camp....what a great project!

Everybody loves some chocolate chip cookies...or the chewy cookies....have you ever made what in Mexico and in some other places of the world, call 'Pastel de 3 leches' which is "Cake of 3 milks"? well the recepie is the following.....
*1 box of vanilla cake mix
*6 eggs
*1/2 cup of milk
*1 cup condensed milk
*1/2 liter whole milk
* 2 drops of vanilla extract
* whipped cream for deco
>separate the whites and whip them until they are thick, mix the rest as the same you would do with any other cake...when done put in the fridge to serve cold, decorate as you would

I found the best that sells is Yellow cake and chocolate icing and cookies. Bake chocolate chip cookies and put 2 in a baggie and sell it for 25 cents. Kids like that. good luck.

I like rice crispy treats. There is a deli here, which makes them in a lot of different ways; fruity pebbles, peanut butte, cocoa pebbles and sometimes with dried fruit mixed in too. They drizzle white or dark chocolate over them too. I don't like to make them and do not care for the ones that are pre-packaged so I am happy to pay for the homemade ones when I find them.
