is it possible to go thru life without getting them, I think I have a very strong immune system (i don't get the flu or colds) I'm 21 and haven't had the pox yet ..

but i was wondering if i should get the vaccine, I heard there can be side effects from the shot. I really dont want to ever get the chicken pox.

I had the chicken pox when I was young. And when I was in my twenty's I got Shingles, which is an adult form of chicken pox, and yes it is very painful. And I was wondering about that myself. My son is 10 and he hasn't had them yet.

You need to ask your doctor...
I have had it and there is a new form of it that older people get and it is very painful so make sure and ask your doctor

I GUESS IT IS POSSIBLE. But older people can get them;and I heard its harder on them than children;my kids had them and they itched and it can leave scars if you scratch the scabs off.
