okay i was searching through my sister's room. she's in college now. i found her journal. I read through it. in it she said she believe people were reading her mind and watching her. i've noticed i catch mumbling things to herself a lot. she prays excessively, i mean one every three minutes. she makes the sign of the cross every three minutes also and bows down and hits her head on the ground and raises her open arms. She also shakes her head alot. what should i do? does she have a disorder?

Let your parents or someone in authority that you trust know about this because it sounds quite serious. Your sister may be mad at you for snooping but in the long run I'll think she'll be able to forgive you for helping her.

Schizophrenia can start in young adulthood. This looks like the beginnings of it, and it would be better for her to get help and get on medication before it gets worse. She can still live a normal life, but she does need help now. I would say, "I need to confess something, but at the same time, I need to let you know that sis needs help". Good luck

You said your sister was in college...How is she doing???
Sounds like she is a grown woman.
Talk to her about how you feel about the things she does.
Maybe she doesn't know she is looking weird.
If you really feel she is off the wall....try to get her to accept help
No one can make her. Not even mom and dad.
She has to realize it is a problem.

I take it this is a new kind of behaviour she is showing you!....
In other words I wonder was she o.k....before this?....and really I needed to know that.
So I will say, this is new
...o.k. well..............something is greatly wrong with her!
I will tell you that 3 things come to mind, but! without knowing what she was like before?...I myself, feel it too hard to say What it could be.

WOW there are so many things-first lets deal with your snooping, if you tell anyone your sister may never trust you again
your sis talks a lot-maybe chants
and prays excessively -religious
she could be extremely engrossed in her religion
why do we presume that something is wrong when we don't know what is going on?
Talk to your sis first without accusing her and see if she has become more involved in the church
honestly she could be involved in a cult and if you tell your parents and they approach her wrong you could push her away

I would take her to the hospital. You can also tell your mom and dad. She might have a mental illness. Just talk to your mom and dad and get her some help.

your sister needs help it could be scepherina are ocd but she needs to see a therapist now its very serious and needs attention .
