I just dropped my ring on the floor and before I could pick it up my puppy swooped down and swallowed it. It is a normal size ring, with 3 stones on it. Should I just wait for her to poop it out? What should I do? THANKS!

Please take your puppy to see the vet. They will probably tell you you'll have to wait until it passes through her stool (poop) or they may be able to give the puppy a laxative or a vomit inducer if it is urgent to get the ring back. If it is a large ring, your vet may recommend a mild sedative for the puppy so that it doesn't cause too much pain coming out. Hope this helps and good luck!

Wait for the poop! I know it's gross but the puppy will pass the ring. Good Luck

How big is the pup? The ring may be too big to go down if the pup is really small. I would carefully check any poop tonight and if it doesn't come out, take her to the vet.

I would definitely take your dog to the vet ASAP! A ring, or any foreign object could block the intestines. A puppies small size definitely puts it at a disadvantage as well.

waiting for it to poop is about all you can do at this point, it will definately pass. Double check the floor that it didn't just roll out of sight and the dog's attention was just focused on where it hit.

it's probably a good idea to call your vet, but i'm guessing they will just tell you that you have to wait for her to poop it out. which means you'll have to dig around in all of her poops until you find it. that really sucks, i'm sorry. good luck to you. now might be a good time to run to the store and buy some rubber gloves.

You'll have to treat your puppy just as if it were a child that swallowed a penny. Watch and check it's stool for a couple of days, if you don't find the ring in its stool, you'll have to take it to the vet and have an x-ray done. I hope you find it yourself, that way your little puppy doesn't have to go through possible surgery to extract it.

Nothing left to do but wait. Make sure you watch her like a hawk so that you can inspect every piece of poop that comes out. That way you don't accidentally miss it.

Sorry about that but you may just have to wait until she poops it out. Just in case so it doesnt get stuck in her intestine, I doubt it though, go to your vet and have her checked out. Good luck!

Dogs digest faster than we do, so if you haven't found the ring within 24 hours, it'll be time for the vet to take an x-ray.
