Aids is a terrible illness. many innocent people including millions of Children have contracted this killer. You are way off base with your assertions that this is a "gift" to the human race.. You are also off based to say that God is responsible. The science says that the virus that causes AIDS has been around for thousands of years. Man basic nature is responsible for it and all the other evils of this world. God made it perfect, WE messed it up... Jim

I don't think it's God's doing. I think AIDS came about because of something humans did. And promiscuous people are not the only people that have AIDS. You're forgetting about the people who get it through blood transfusions (or who get it because their sexual partner is not faithful). And remember the babies who do not have the choice when HIV is passed on to them from their mothers.

I heard aids came from green monkeys - not from God.
People also get AIDS from Blood Transfusions. And from needle sticks in surgery.

My mother use to make me so angry as she said G-d sent it to cleanse the earth of bad people. This is not true.
Most of the people who have Aids are family people, and not promiscuous people. All across Africa it has been passed from mother to child, and spouse to spouse, and it has gotten so out of hand-----but not by bad people.
G-d did not send this. G-d does not do this to people. And, those who think He did--------I am sorry you have so much disbelief in what G-d is.

sickness and death doesn't come from God. The bible says that God created the world perfectly without these things. After man rebelled against God and sin entered the world things are not as they should be.
God sent his son to restore us to Him. Ultimately all will be as God intended but in the meantime we live in a sick, sin filled world that is in need of redemption.
We all need Jesus.

Call it god, or call it nature; our technology has put and kept way too many people on this earth. I know, I've been saved twice, and I don't think I belong here.
Don't ask me or my son to take it back, of course; I'm as selfish as anyone else.
But, we do have to have some kind of population control.
Disease and natural disasters are doing their work.
