Hi, I have started writing and couting my calories and want to ask for your help concerning my exercises. All of these I do at home as it is difficult to find time to go out.

Please help me understand these:

1) DDR dancing ~30 minutes says ~300 calories burned. I can believe because I sweat a lot.

2) Exercise bike ~30 minutes says ~60 calories burned. Hard to believe, because feels like i worked hard.

3) Can I get some kind of a educated estimate for:

a) ab workout routine (5 exercises) 15 minutes total

b) weight lifting (~ 15 kg) usually 10 times each hand, then break. Maybe 15 minutes too.

I just need the numbers to add to my daily calculation of total calories burned by exercises.

THANK YOU!

Try registering on www.thedailyplate.com. They have calorie estimates for almost any activity. Just put in your daily workout on your plate for the day and it'll tell you how much you burned. FYI, burning calories is a function of how much you weight and how tall you are. They best, most accurate way to know is invest in a heart rate monitor. You can get a good one for as little as $30 on ebay. If it's less than that, it's probably not good

Anything your frame does burns energy. Even sitting on my butt typing burns energy. The trick, pricey reader, is are you burning extra energy than you are taking in? If now not, you get fats. It is that useful.
