i was just wondering where auto updates (like ie7) get saved too. anyone know??

Well IE7 just gets downloaded and installed like any other software, and because IE is a core component of Windows it isn't just pilled into a folder, it's actually in the Operating System, other software is Pilled on top of the Operating System.

Autoupdates are components of the System, so they will replace older components of the system, where ever they maybe.

All auto updates update to the program that it is designed for on your c drive of your computer.

If you mean before they get installed, then its probably to your Temporary Internet Files folder.

add and remove programs called hotfix
