anyone know how to use the clone tool on the gimp picture program?

I looked at their help web page and I still have no idea how to use the clone tool or anything else.

any help would be great.

Yes.

You set it to "Image Source" then hover your mouse over the part you want to duplicate. Press ctrl on your key board, then click what you want to duplicate, release, then go to where you want it and use it as a paintbrush.

You can also set it to "Patten Source " and simply paint with patterns,
