I'm going to give my new boyfriend for his brithday a cd with a bumch of songs he likes. One problem-Which ones does he like? I dont know and i cant just ask him straight up cuz his present is suposed to be a secret. I know I should just slip it into a conversation but how do i do that? Im new at this Ok! Im in 5th grade. He's my first love and boyfriend. Help.

With spelling like yours, I couldn't believ you're in 5th grade.
How well do you know him, because you should know what music he likes. And, a rule of thumb with giving a CD is: you put one together with songs YOU like. He gets a sense of what's inside you that way. Choose songs that express something to him from YOU.

Oh my crap. If I read one more question from a child (yes, you are a child. Not a young adult, a child) talking about their boyfriend or their relationship or being in love, I will scream blue murder. You're what, 10? 11? Do your parents know you have a boyfriend and think you're in love? Because my mother would have absolutely KILLED me if I thought I was in a relationship that young. Heck, I think we still hated boys and used "You like so-and-so" as a taunt back then. I need someone to explain to me why children feel the need to grow up so fast now. It scares me so much as I consider having children of my own. Will they even have a childhood, or will they be pressured by their peers into love and sex as soon as they leave our home for school? Will I be raising my child and my grandchild at the same time? What happened to the world????
But back to your question. No, you should not give him a gift because you should not have a boyfriend in the fifth grade. Stop talking to him and focus on your homework.

Give him a silly quiz. Put a list of questions and add in the question of what are his favorite songs.

you really are too young to have a boyfriend, but if you really want to give him a gift, I would suggest a video game. Who needs CD's, when there are iPods??

Don't make things harder than they really are. Just ask hey what kind of music do you like? Then tell him what kind of music you like. Just causal conversation.
