most dogs love peanut butter! As long as you don't give him too much..just give as a "treat" once in a while. Toast is fine too in moderation. You can put some peanut butter on a nylabone or other dog bone and freeze it, this makes it easier for them to eat (not so sticky) and gives them something to chew on.

Dogs love peanut butter, the only questionable thing about it is the salt content! but you can get it with reduced salt now I think, if you are only giving it occasionally then don't worry too much.
I have just remembered that the makers of KONG (the rubber dog toy) make their own version of peanut butter to stuff the toy with so might be worth finding out about.

I think as long as it isn't their main diet - I give mine the crusts as a treat sometimes...
Some dogs - like us have gluten allergies so bread might not be right for them... as long as you don't give them the chocolate/peanut butter stuff - as dogs can die if they eat too much chocolate.
Don't feed them grapes either - or raisins - they can be very harmful too.
A lot of people fill a KONG with peanut butter and freeze it for puppys with teething problems... they love it.... or cream cheese for that matter!
As long as you don't over feed - ie - if they have treats then take away some of their normal food to make up for it - you should be fine (or the dog should)!!

The peanut butter is fine, the toast is questionable. What breed of dog? Some breeds are prone to wheat allergies, and, therefore will chew on their feet, one of the symptoms of an allergy. A better idea would be to stuff a natural bone with peanut butter, and let them lick the PB out. Keeps them busy, and gives them a treat, and is safe, unless you have a 180# mastiff-power-chewer.

Peanut butter will not hurt them and I don't think the toast will either. Peanut butter can be given to them on a spoon also. They love it. Just don't let them pig out on it.

I'd say that dogs are omnivores (that means that they'll eat almost anything) in otherwords they eat much the same as us. However I'd proceed cautiosly with this snack. Give your dog a little less rather than a little more. The toast is OK, peanut butter is good nourishment for them it contains good oil for its coat , but it has a lot of calories ands may increase the weight of your dog if you give too much................

A little bit of any human food is OK. Just don't overdo it. Dogs love peanut butter and it's a crackup to watch them eat it.
