Frankly, I think you are an idiot for getting your tongue pierced, and a double idiot for going behind your parents back and a triple idiot because you can get your friend's parents in alot of trouble, it's called fraud.
Tongue piercing is a fad, in another ten years you will regret doing it. The rate of infection is about 40%, and don't kid yourself hon, it hurts like hell. The tongue is a very sensitive organ. You can damage your sense of taste, and have difficulty talking swallowing and even brushing your teeth. Get smart, don't do this until and unless you are mature enough to know what you are getting into.

So what you are saying is your parents do not want you to do this, so your friends parent to signing for you. Can we say LAW SUITE! Not only would the friends parents be on it but the establishment who did this to a child without a parents signature. You being the child (just in case you did not realize you are a child).

Why not talk it over with your parents, more then you have. Find prof of how clean and pain free this is, with no possible side effects what so ever. If you can convince them to let you, then have one of them take you.

Mind you a human mouth is dirtier then a dogs mouth! The worst bite anyone can get is from a human being. But hey everyone else is doing it right?

Good luck with getting your tongue pierced, hopefully your parents don't kick you out or sue anyone.......When you grow up you will realize a couple years is not that long to wait....

I have had my tongue pierced twice.

I took it out both times though, once for a job & once beacsue I got pregnant....

It does hurt allot, but it does go away & not eating really sux!!

The swelling is not awful but is there...They are putting a piece of sharp metal through your tongue so there will be pain, swelling & a little bleeding....but if it is a decision you want to make, then make sure it is the right one!

What is the worst that can happen? (You could get an infection & die!)

There's a nerve in the tongue that when hit, can paralyze all or part of you. I believe that is the terrible fate that happens to a small % of the people who mar themselves.
Not worth the risk.
Everyone's nerves are in slightly different spots, so there is no way for even the professionals to know. Same reason that some wisdom teeth are not removed. Too close to nerves.

I got my tongue pierced about 13 years ago. I still have it.
It hurt.
It bled.
It got so swollen I couldn't talk for days, only grunt lol.
Was it worth it? Not necessarily. I still have it, but that's because it feels weird for me to have it out now. I'm sure one day I'll chuck it, but for now, I just don't even think about it.
Why are you thinking of doing it? To be cool? Then no, don't do it. Because you heard guys like it? No, if you know what you're doing a pierced tongue isn't even going to matter. And if y ou can't tell your parents what you're doing, you shouldn't be doing it anyway. If you're going to do anything, be bold nd confident about it. If you have to hide it, then you prolly know you shouldn't be doing it anyway.
Having a pierced tongue is no big thing. What makes a girl popular is attitude, personality, and respect for herself.

No, it's not worth it.
It's a "fad" right now, nothing more.
Ask yourself why you really want to do it -- so you'll look "cool?" So your friends will think you're hot stuff? Are those good reasons to mutilate your body?
Think about the future -- you go to college, you graduate with an advanced degree, and you show up for a job interview with a prestigious company with a stud in your tongue. Do you really think companies want to hire people who follow the herd no matter how ridiculous the fad is, or do they want people who think for themselves and make responsible decisions?

I hope you choose not to do it. Good luck whatever your choice.

No, not really, my friend got her Tongue peirced, and she said it hurts more and it's not worth it, plus some people made fun of her because if she accidently bit her tongue, it would start to bleed, and the teachers would make her take it out in order to help.

I wouldn't. Who's gonna see it anyway? Are you gonna walk around with your tongue hanging out all day? I would get a cartlidge piercing or something than my tongue. My opinion.

It will be sore and swollen for about 3 days. If you expect to hide this from your parents don't even try. You will talk funny while your tongue is swollen.

DON'T DO IT! Did you know that the bacteria in your mouth can cause an infection in the piercing? If you get an infection, and it gets into your blood stream, it can go straight to your heart and kill you. Don't do it.

Not only that, you'll talk funny for a while, and guys look at you as a serious slut if you have your tounge pierced.
