I recently started dating this gentleman and I like him alot, however he will only talk to me once a week and does not return phone calls. I told him that I was gonna back off and he had started calling to talk but then quit. He says he is busy, which I understand, but how can I get him to pay more attention to me? Or at least return my telephone calls? Neither of us wants a serious relationship but I would like to talk to him more than once a week and possibly even see him more than once a week. What can I do?

Read your own question and imagine that you....are the man in this equation.

Get the point.........?

Now call his Wife and see if she's willing to share him more than one night a week......

Guys like being the object of ones affection. They love being sought after. Your guy pretty much proved it when he began calling you when you stopped being so availible. You need to make your self less availible for him. Girl, let HIM be the one who is calling YOU non-stop. That IS the way it should be, after all. Dont let this kid get the best of you...
My suggestion?
Stop calling him. He has to now that this thing between the two of you should only be when its convenience for him or only on his terms. Stand up for your self and refuse to be treated that way! A relationship, of any kind, is a two way street. You can keep giving and non recieving anything out of this. The whole "busy" line is complete BS. If a guy likes you... I mean... REALLY LIKES you then he will make time to talk to you despite his supposed business. You deserve better than this kid. He owes more to you and your "non serious" relationship. Good Luck with this and never EVER lose your dignity to some punk kid.

If you were in HS this would work out just fine. It's OK to have semi-casual relationships, but even I agree this probably isn't enough. But, you can do one of two things, break it off all together, or inform him since he only makes himself available once a week, you will pursue other relationships in the meantime to fill in the gaps.

Sounds to me like you need to find a man that has more time to devote to you.

Dump him it will never go anywhere. If he doesn't give you the attention you need now, he never will.
