Let's start by saying that I used to be a member of a really small gym from nearby home. I loved it.. since it was not too crowded, the people was friendly. Every time I walked in... somebody would greet me... by my name! But I stopped going there because their hours were not flexible at all.. with my busy schedule. That's why I joined 24-hour fitness... so I could go... whenever I had the chance or squeeze some time. On this department... this is the best.. since you basically can go anytime. I miss the small gym atmosphere though.. since people rarely talk to each other, but I guess this could be a good thing.. .since you get to do your workout.
I guess depending what type of person you are or your goals, this gym can be perfect for you or not. I do not think this is the right gym if you are a professional bodybuilder.. but if you are a fitness enthusiast.. it is great. They have a good selection of cardio-equipment. They have the tv's that you can watch (and listen to if you have headphones) while on the machines... they have a fairly good amount of machines... good assortment of dumbells... even though depending how crowded they are you might not find any. They should have more dumbells for the moderate-small weights.. since those are the ones most people use... leave the 100 Lb dumbell for the one or two guys that can actually pick them up from the rack!. They have group classes with a varied amount of classes for everyone. The schedules can be found online... as well as the locations of the gyms in your city. Pool, Spa, Sauna and Steam room are found in most gyms.
I don't know about the girls bathrooms, but this would be one of my complaints... the men's bathrooms are not kept very clean... and yes this just might be because a lot of men are just pigs.. and can't be considerate to the rest of the world.

I belong to 24-Hour Fitness and yes I love it. It gives you flexibility and has the latest equipment. Couple that with a knowledgeable staff and it's a win-win situation. Some people don't like working out in crowded surrounding, which isn't a problem with this club because you can workout anytime. However, it doesn't guarantee weight lose or muscle gain. It only provides the equipment and advice...the hard work and determination is up to you. Good Luck!!!
