I have ceramic braces on the top and they are visible. My fiancee saw me after I got them put on and she noticed them right away.
Your date will definitely see them, but just act confident...men love confident and happy women. If he asks about it, just tell him the truth...trust me, he won't mind if he cares for you.

Hey, i am 31 and just got metal off to change for ceramic. i think that if a guy is turned off by braces he is an asshole and should bo date a blow up doll. If everyone was perfect there would be no need for braces and everyone would have million dollar smiles like the stars. Sooooo what your teeth have a mind of their own!!!!!!!!! At least you are getting your teeth corrected. Some of us had to wait (I am 31) because our parents didn't do it. Be confident. I am sure that there is more to you than a ceramic smile. Obviously you are educated. (free from typos) and have a good head on your shoulders. Do you notice people even more with messed up teeth. I know I do from wearing braces and I think...........Dang they need braces. Teeth should be the least of your worries...........you never know this guy could be showing you his best friends pic and really be a butt ugly martian. He may be broke and take you to McDonald's. Those are the real date worries. Get over it. Teeth are to eat. Just think in a few months this will all be a blurb!!!!!!!!!!!! Smile big and strut your sexy thousand dollar smile with pride.

I work in an Orthodontic office and the ceramic braces are noticable, but definitely not as much as metal ones. They are a wonderful option for people like yourself. As far as the date is concerned, If he is turned off simply by the fact that you have braces, then he's probably not worth your time. During the date you could say something like, "Bet you didn't know that the date was being set up with someone who looks like they're 14 years old" :) to break the ice. Then mention that you've been struggling with you teeth not wanting to stay where they are supposed to, and that you're simply trying to improve the function of your bite. (or something to that affect, whatever your case may be) That yeah, for a short while you'll have to deal with them being on there, but in the long run, it will be worth it. My mom had the ceramic braces too, and after awhile, I would even forget that she had them. Good luck!! :)
As far as Invisalign goes- If you have having surgery, It usually isn't an option. I'd go with Ceramic.

I have the steady steel braces, I am 22 and I obtained them since compaired to the ceramic braces they are going to get up to rough meals and I can get special colours. To believe that you're going to truthfully now not consume what you are now not meant to is loopy, I nonetheless consume some thing I wish, however I deal with my braces too. Doctors inform young adults and youngsters that specific matters are unhealthy, since young adults and youngsters don't seem to be very accountable in the case of cleansing and taking care of their braces. Its as much as you, however ceramic ones can have you again within the workplace getting them constant extra most commonly you then'd wish to be. Metal ones are not that unhealthy, and I have not had a main issue with them but and I nearly performed with my cure. Which ever you decide on, well good fortune with them!

YOU OBVIOUSLY CARE ABOUT YOUR APPEARANCE OTHERWISE YOU WOULDN'T BE GETTING BRACES. BECAUSE YOU CARE ABOUT YOURSELF REALIZE THAT THE INNER BEAUTY OF ANY PERSON IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING. MANY AROUND THE WORLD DON'T HAVE PRETTY TEETH OR EVEN THE ABILITY OF SEEING AN ORTHODONTIST IF THEY COULD. IF YOU WANT BRACES THAT ARE INVISIBLE, ASK ABOUT INVISALIGN .
