hes not, this is a misconception by christians who are going to go to hell for putting faith in an idol. (if u dont like me condemning you to hell, christians, then why do you do it to everyone else?)

however if you believe jesus IS god, then you believe that jesus was delusional throughout his life, constantly praying and talking to himself, crying out to himself on the cross "father father why have you forsaken me". and if he ISNT god then your really worshipping a false god.

if the trinity exists, the one god is 3, that means god has splitperson identity disorder? or that there are really 3 gods who proclaim to be one?

i agree they make no sense.

Jesus is not the Father but the embodiment of the Father in the flesh. Jesus is the part of the Trinity that we can see. Many people believe Jesus is "the angel of the Lord", spoken of in the Old Testament.
God the Father is spirit and one can't see Him, just as the Holy Spirit cannot be seen. The Holy Spirit is the "force" so to speak of the trinity, that empowers believers.
All three are different manifestations of the Godhead but are still One. Many things can exist in different forms, such as time (past, present, future)

I am sorry that I can't help you to understand one of the false teachings of man. The Bible teaches that there is One God, Jehovah, and he has a Son, Jesus. Over and over the Bible teaches that the Father is greater than the Son(John 14:28).

God knew things that Jesus didn't know(Mark 13:32:“Concerning that day or the hour nobody knows, neither the angels in heaven nor the Son, but the Father."

It is very important in understanding the Bible to back-up Scripture with Scripture...when there is no reasonable backup for such teachings as the trinity, should we go on trying to make it fit, or just figuring it is a mystery?...even that doesn't make sense in the fact that God gave us his Word to let us know what his will and purpose for us is. He certainly wouldn't make it difficult for us to understand. The trinity just doesn't fit with theme of the Bible or the fact that the Bible teaches that there is One God, Jehovah.

1Corinthians 8:5 & 6: "For even though there are those who are called “gods,” whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many “gods” and many “lords,” 6 there is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are, and we through him.
Isaiah 43:10 & 11:“YOU are my witnesses,” is the utterance of Jehovah, “even my servant whom I have chosen, in order that YOU may know and have faith in me, and that YOU may understand that I am the same One. Before me there was no God formed, and after me there continued to be none. 11 I—I am Jehovah, and besides me there is no savior.”

Matthew 4:10: "Then Jesus said to him: “Go away, Satan! For it is written, ‘It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service.’”

So, I am with you , I don't understand why people are so confused on this matter. The Bible clearly teaches that there is one God...
Psalms 83:18: "That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah,You alone are the Most High over all the earth. "

It clearly teaches that Jesus and Jehovah are two separate individuals:

Matthew 3:16 & 17:16 After being baptized Jesus immediately came up from the water; and, look! the heavens were opened up, and he saw descending like a dove God’s spirit coming upon him. 17 Look! Also, there was a voice from the heavens that said: “This is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved.”

And the Scriptures that you are speaking of where Jesus prays to his Father in heaven like at

John 17: 1: "Jesus spoke these things, and, raising his eyes to heaven, he said: “Father, the hour has come; glorify your son, that your son may glorify you,"

Luke 22:41-43: "And he himself drew away from them about a stone’s throw, and bent his knees and began to pray, 42 saying: “Father, if you wish, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, let, not my will, but yours take place.” 43 Then an angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him.

If the Father and the Son were the same, would Jesus have a different will from the Father? Reason itself is what it takes to figure out that the trinity is a false teaching. I am glad that you can't understand it. You are a reasonable person. Good for you.

There are three parts to God; the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. All are three different people but all are the one God. If you know the Son, you know his Father and if you know one you know all three for all are one together.

All are equal in power and authority, but have different roles. The Father makes the plan, the Son fulfils his Father's will and the Holy Spirit points people to the Son or the Father for their Glory.

The Father plan to create the world and the Son created it. Because Man sinned against God. The Father planned to forgive them. The Holy Spirit prophesied through the prophets about God forgiving them and the Son fulfilled it when he came to earth to die on the cross (and rose to life on the third day)

Where to start? Grasping the concept of "trinity" requires, to a certain degree, a leap of faith or a PhD in philosophy. The word "trinity" comes from the base of "tri - unity," meaning three that are one. But the three that we are talking about (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) are not limited by the bounds of third dimensional space and time. They exist in the transcendant, which plays by a whole different set of rules than the categorical (meaning, 3D space, senses, time perceptions - the physical world, pretty much). So there, separate and one don't rely on physical bodies or even identities.

A very imperfect analogy - your arm is part of you, but are you any less you without your arm? The problem here is, of course, your severed arm is not you, per say. (and here enters the philosophy)

So working with that, we come to the very specific relationship between Jesus and God the Father. God (as part of the trinity) spoke himself into the world (incarnation, or became flesh) in the form of a human man, Jesus. Jesus is/was/ever will be 100% human, just like you and I, but was also 100% God (part of the trinity) existing in the categorical. Jesus was held by human limits and understanding, and while he did have a special understanding that his relationship with God the Father was unique, he could only express it in the way any other Jewish man of the time could.

This is a tricky area of theology, one that works better in a discussion setting. But I hope this helps a bit. Remember, this is all based on FAITH, not logic or science.

I know many question this- but remember God is God- and our human minds cannot fathom God's ways- for in Isaiah God says "My ways are not your ways, nor my thoughts your thoughts" But God can do anything- and He became man- Jesus Christ to die for us. John 1:1 says he was the word since the beginning of time- and the word is Jesus Christ. And in John 10 Jesus also says "My Father and I are one"
And the Holy Spirit comes from God- that is what keeps us, who are saved on the right path with God. And the Holy Spirit convicts the hearts of sinners...God does all of this. Remember he is GOD. Dont think too hard about it- Just rest in knowing that he never changes, nor lies- and how unsearchable his ways are...

Romans 11:33
Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments and how inscrutable his ways!

Nothing is impossible with God. Luke 1:37

Do you believe in what the Bible says? God is amazing- I stand in awe of Him~

Because Emperor Constantine said so.
That's what Christianity is structured for: to teach you to have Blind Faith in what Authority tells you and work hard to Produce and Give and fight wars. If you want to analyze it and dissect it, then you should be an Atheist or a Jew. If you want to be a good Christian, you are supposed to stay confused, even make up new religions so that nobody can understand your specific rituals.

It isn't supposed to make sense, it's supposed to make you feel like you are part of something Grandiose and Powerful so that you don't go around Thinking and Doing things without checking with your elders first.
Heaven forBID you should stop producing or go out and cooperate with those evil Atheists or Pagans in some free love commune.

God made Mary pregnat, He was the Father of Jesus in the flesh.

Jesus is One with God, God's Word says so, and anyone who denies that is callng God a liar.

Jesus in the flesh did not want anyone to worship anything of the flesh, so He taught people to worship God, and He set the example.

One God...three divine persons.....God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit....Think about ourselves....we have 1 body...but many parts connected together form 1 body...each part is not a body ....but it is the connected parts that make 1 body...

To the first guy: The problem is that Jesus is supposedly his OWN father and his OWN son. That's why the concept makes no sense.

This really isn't something you can analyze logically, though. The concept is just ridiculous and all the answers are always "Just accept it" or "That's just the way it is." There's no good answer that makes sense.

I know there are a lot of folks that disagree with this, but I believe that the Father and the Son, and the Holy Ghost actually are separate entities. That they are one in purpose, kind of like how the Bible says a husband and wife become one.
