It is the lack of oxygen that you would normally get when normal drinking happens... stronger alcohol isn't true.. also you can usually drink more faster without gulps of air when drinking through a straw..

Everyone drinks faster through a straw.
Servers in restaurants don't like to give you a straw because they have to refill your drinks more often.
Bartenders like to give you a straw so you'll drink more.
Did you know some people don't drink by consumption but, rather how much time the intend to spend in a club or lounge. In other words if happy hour starts at 5:00 and you have to be home by 9:00, you'll probably only quit ordering when it's time to go.
(unless you've consumed way too much and can't keep up with the time)

I think people feel drunker more quickly is because when you drink out of the can or bottle itself. You tend to go slower but when you use a straw. then you can drink the beer more faster.

It is when alcohol controls your life that you become a true alcoholic. When you put your alcohol first above all else. When nothing else matters. When you have no money and 4 kids to feed but you buy beer. When you beat your kids and wife because you are either drunk....or sober and wish you were drunk. Its when you make stupid decisions and blame everyone else for the consequences. When you think of nothing else but the next drink. When you place all blame for every little thing on anyone else but yourself. When you lie, cheat, steal, stay out all night, call people names, fantasize, hallucinate, and think you are perfect and wonderful and that you are the one being hurt or held back.....its when you don't give a damn about anyone but yourself and you don't care what you do to anyone else, and in the end, its all their fault anyhow. Btw, it can start with a beer after work and progress.

because it hits u faster out of a straw.. like taking shots makes u drunker because its quicker

the alcohol is delievered into their systems faster. when you drink out of a straw it is liking taking a shot of beer

b/c it's entering the system quicker kind of like doing a shot vs drinking a mixed drink (same amt of alcohol just delivered at a different rate)
