I don't know what has gotten into people today, but I'm tired of the hate. This kind of closed-minded agression gives Christianity a bad name.

I honestly don't have much of an opinion on Islam cuz I don't know much about it. I can tell you that all the Muslims I have met have been good people who were worth knowing.

I think it is not a question of religion; the true Koran preaches for peace and respect to all people. Most of the Muslims are gentle and peace full. The problem is the extremist fundamentalist Islamic groups (El quaida, Hezbollah etc..) who are only a few % of the Muslims; and they use violence against the modern free democratic world by killing Innocent civilians from all (even Muslims are killed by this terrorist groups).
But what I do not understand is: if this terrorist groups cause bad reputation to all Muslims, then why we do not hear a clear and loud condemnation from the peace full Muslim leaders against these terrorists???

Reverts to Islam: Lonely in a Crowd

http://writerinislam.blogspot.com/2005/11/reverts-to-islam-lonely-in-crowd.html

The Christian clergy of priests, bishops, archbishops, cardinals, etc. Why do we need a hierarchy? Could a religion operate without one?

Divinity of Christ. Did he actually claim divinity? What was that first commandment again?

Doctrine of the Trinity. Sorry, I just don't get it. Anyway, some prominent Christian leaders now openly doubt it, as do some Christian sects, for example, the Unitarians.

Church statues. Idols are breakable. Anyway, what was that second commandment again?

Infallibility of the Pope. But he did make errors, for example when condemning Copernicus for saying the Earth revolved around the sun.

Original sin. A newborn baby has inherent sin and needs forgiveness (baptism)? Again, somehow difficult to understand.

Worshiping "saints." Do we need an agent to reach God?

Transubstantiation. Where bread and wine are transformed (literally) into the flesh and blood of Christ during the Mass. Are there elements of paganism here?

Christ died on the cross for the "sins of the world." If Christ died for our sins in advance, then why bother trying to be good? Anyway, did he really claim this?

From a christian standpoint (Mormon) we don't think anything is wrong with them. The LDS church doesn't really care as long as they aren't hurting the things we believe. The only bad thing we have to say about Muslims in general is that they don't have the gospel. What I have been told in class about Muslims is that they don't really mind christians either, unless the christians are hurting what they believe.

Read This Maxxie!!

Islamic terrorism is inspired by Islamic teachings. We can never get rid of Islamic terrorism unless we defeat the ideology behind it and that is Islam itself. Islam induces hate backed by lies. Muhammad was a terrorist by his own admission. All Muslims, to the extent that they follow him, are terrorists. Those Muslims who are not terrorists are ignorant of Islam and are not good Muslims. Fortunately they are the majority. We need to rescue them. If you are a good human being, you are not a Muslim. Read this site and if you can't prove me wrong, which you certainly can't, leave this deceitful cult of hate and terror and join mankind. Don't be part of the Umma. Umma is fascism. It is divisive. It induces the hatred of others. Be part of humanity instead. Your ignorance is not an excuse. Pull your head out of the sand and face the truth, like we did.

Terrorism is not an ideology, it is a tool; but the terrorists kill for an ideology. They call that ideology Islam.

The entire world, both Muslims and non-Muslims claim that the terrorists have hijacked "the religion of peace" and Islam does not condone violence.

Who is right? Do the terrorists understand Islam better, or do those who decry them? The answer to this question is the key to our victory, and failure to find that key will result in our loss and death will be upon us. The key is in the Quran and the history of Islam.

Those of us, who know Islam, know that the understanding of the terrorists of Islam is correct. They are doing nothing that their prophet did not do and did not encourage his followers to do. Murder, rape, assassination, beheading, massacre and sacrilege of the dead "to delight the hearts of the believers" were all practiced by Muhammad, were taught by him and were observed by Muslims throughout their history.

If truth has ever mattered, it matters most now! This is the time that we have to call a spade a spade. This is the time that we have to find the root of the problem and eradicate it. The root of Islamic terrorism is Islam. The proof of that is the Quran

The extremists calling for the killing of "followers of the cross" is one compelling argument. These extremists are giving the world an impression that all Muslims adhere to the same beliefs. In order to stop this stereotyping, the Muslims themselves must muzzle the haters within their ranks.

Have you no religious education? The dome currently sits where most hardcore jews consider that the original temple of solomon was built and also where the next temple should be built. This is also considered by Christians to be a fulfillment of prophecy (which is why they want to see it built).

Of course, knocking down the dome means WW3.

Actually mimi, we are quite peaceful people. Of course there are those that like to terrorize others, but some people in this country are clearly gerneralizing. My view of Christians is that they believe we are going to blow up their heads everytime we pray or something to that extent. I think the minds of America about Muslims should clearly be changed.

you have a lot of cranks around with the basic KKK NeoNazi Republican Neoconservative mind set. They are not allowed to speak bad about Black folk anymore but they think that the Muslims, Mexicans and Gays are fair game. They even will try to claim it as their religious right to free speech, just look at Reverend Phelps and his little over the top Christian Cult.

I dont know people are just filled with hate.

to dan j
what exactly are us majority true Muslims supposed to do? Many Muslims live in Europe and America. so what can we do. its not like we are BF F's with them. we cant just go to there house and have a picnic and tell them to stop twisting the Qur'an. we cant just send them a postcard and say 'hey dummies will you stop acting like freaks? we would appreciate it so other Americans stop being ignorant and blaming us for your idiocy" You act like we are connected to them, like they are our own relative that we can call up. Our denomination of Islam is not connected to them. We have no relation to them. They are as inaccessible to us as they are to you. All we can do is spread the fact that terrorism is not Islam.
peace
