When belivers come on here they sound like they are quoting from a Care Bear movie, either that or posting chunks of bible verse.
Do you think we non-believers better tone down our logic and rationality because we are coming across rather stridently, what texts should we be quoting from do you think? Winnie the Pooh?

Ok it is toungue in cheek, but seriously we have nothing more to offer tha a brisk refreshing dose of logic, don't you think we should find a more cuudly approach sometimes?

No, keep with the logic bombs. I can tell from some of these people that tiny explosions go off in their heads when they're confronted with something really tricky to deal with. They always get around it (you know, "It says in the Bible", "they are GOD'S words not ours", "is it that you are trying to believe?", and so on). But it's fun to watch them provoked into that position. Care Bears wouldn't do it for me.
A thought: how did Care Bears evolve?

Perhaps we should be quoting from Homer's The Illiad. It is also an epic story which some may have believed to be true. A work of fiction. I say The Illiad and Winnie the Pooh. "The only reason for being a be is to make honey. And the only reason for making honey is so I can eat it."

As a Christian I agree that many Christian responses posted here are unhelpful. However, I can't fault a Christian for applying what we consider to be the ultimate source of authority to any situation in life or question here in particular. Sorry for the long quotes though.

Of course we are going to quote from scripture- because they are GOD'S words- not ours- so if you dont like what the Bible says, you need to take that up with God- not us. The word of God is powerful- it is God's Holy Word. I would never add to it or make up my own truth- I want to proclaim the truth of God to all. There is nothing more important than one's eternal salvation in Christ Jesus~

I've read the entire Bible. People pick & choose their passages to make their point. You can out-quote them, but, they still won't "get" it.

Yes, please, bring it down to our Christian level. We can't handle real logic. We're a bunch of intellectual nincompoops like Agustine, C.S. Lewis, Pascal, etc.
I really appreciate your willingness to come down to our level.
