8 yr old...a long day?

i am going to busch gardens this weekend and will bestaying the whole time...open to close...14 hours....should i rent a stroller for my 8 yr old daughter or will she look ridiciollus??? She still gets easily tired...Do you do that with your kids?

Rent the stroller and forget about anyone who thinks it might look ridiculous....why should you care what they think?

I used a stroller for years at amusement parks, even when the kids were clearly old enough to walk around. Most of day they did indeed walk (well....run faster than I could keep up is more like it!!), but the stroller is a great place to keep the stuff you'd rather not carry around. And, by the time 14 hours has gone by, believe me, you're really gonna get tired of carrying a sleeping 8-year-old around.

I think 14 hours of anything is extreme for an adult let alone a child. I think by the time the day ends you will both need a stroller!!! LOL!!!

okay really, i think maybe you need to just wing it and see what happenes. if she ends up needing a stroller then get one when the time calls for it rather than hauling it all around.

First I would leave that up to your daughter, she probably won't go for it though, so you best plan on taking lots of 'rest' breaks. I have never been to the Busch Gardens, so I'm not sure what's it all about....something she would be interested in, rides, etc? If not, maybe you could leave her at a friends or relatives for the day. ;)

No honestly I don't push my kids to walk to that much. If we are doing something that big 14hrs we break it up in two days. See some one day and finish the next.
