find an exercise you like.... eg rock climbing or hiking, and start with that. perhaps even start bicycling to work/school if you don't already.
ideal weight?.... we are paranoid about our weight, and shouldn't really care as much as we do

I think the correct wait for you would probably be around 105-120 And the best way to loose those extra pounds fast and easily is yoga pollutes and cardio workouts. Running jogging you know anything that will get your heart rate up. Also watch what you eat, its good to have a healthy diet. But remember, if you slip up and end up eating lots of sweets; don't get down on yourself. Just try to do better the next day.
I am also trying to lose weight myself, I haven't lost it all yet, but doing the stuff above really really helps, It gives you great results!
Good luck!

cut out hydrogenated oil, high fructose corn syrup, sugar (more than 4 grams), enriched flour, and bleached flour out of your diet...so read the labels of the food you buy. take vitamins, walk 10,000 steps a day, and do 60 minutes of cardio workout per week (you can split this up 20-20-20 on different days), also do weight training at least once a week. Finally, cut back on your total daily calorie consumption by 100 calories less per day of your recommended daily calorie intake. this will not make you lose a lot of weight fast, but it will help you lose weight over time and keep it off. really this is very simple if you make it a habit because it is just a few simple lifestyle changes.

Go to www.am-i-fat.com. You can find BMI calculators there as well as height/weight charts.
Eat 1200-1500 cals per day. Get a sample diet from the American Cancer Society, the American heart Association, or the American Dietetic Association. Reduce your fat intake, increase your fruit/veggie and whole grain/fiber intake.
Exercise 30-60 mins a day (walking or other cardio) most days of the week. Go the the National Institute for health website for more exercise recommendations.

Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Loose weight) and you will have more engry. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads)in one and protien (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have none or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming, running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions, pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull, leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising, you do this on sunday so your body doesnt go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stilck with this you will have a great body. also drink aleast 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonals, Wendys, ect because there is nothing good for you on the menu's even the salads are bad (beaon bits, cheeze, dressing, ect) Good Luck :)

You might think about trying this book called "The Movie Star Diet" by Steve Simmons. It helped me lose thirty pounds in 2 1/2 months when I didn't think anything would work. My goal to begin with was only 20 lbs! It has a really easy plan to follow and an excellent workout as well.

being a pork pie is because of a lifestyle. the only way you are gonna drop the weight is if you completely change your lifestyle. most likely that is not going to happen.

The medical recommendation for someone your height is 107-141lbs. Seeing as we don't know your body type, age, or health state, I don't know which end of that you need to be at.

5 foot 3 huh that's pretty little, I would say your weight should be no more than 110 or so.. It is really difficult to loose weigt, you must ingest less calories than you burn. that's it. good luck
