i think, soft, loose curls look best on redheads......whatever you do, don't put bangs. if its hard to curl your hair alot, try to find a shampoo that gives you hair a little more bounce......you can try on of the herbal essences shampoos they work really good. Also, if you dress up in a flowing skirt about a little past you knees with a tank top and cardigan, loose ponytails look good.Hope I helped!

I'm a strawberry blonde with long, wavy hair. I was just looking at hairstyles at the salon trying to decide on a look for myself, too, lol - must be the season for change.
Right now long layers with really long bangs are in (don't let anyone talk you into short bangs - you will hate them and they are a bear to grow back out!). I'm talking past your ears long so that you can tuck them back if you want. If you want to soften your forehead they can cut a few wisps that will blend into the longer pieces easily without you having to mess around and style them all of the time. You will also want the shortest layer to be long enough that you can pull your hair up or back into a ponytail or updo easily enough and still be able to pull a couple of strands out to hang loose around the face. The layers will help with body if you have flat hair. Use a good mouse and/or volumizer - gels will be too heavy. I love the curling mouse's they have now. If you want a bit of wave but don't want to do a body perm, try a few well-placed curlers in the morning that you can put in and leave in until you are almost ready to walk out the door. Experiment with the placement and size of the curlers on a weekend that you have nothing else to do. Have a couple of girlfriends over for the evening for a 'hair, face, and nails' party - practice different looks and exchange tips for doing your hair and make-up.
I will go to salons and just sit and look through their books for tips sometimes. If you have a digital camera or camera phone take a picture of the styles you like so you can review and compare later on. I've never had anyone have a problem with this (I always ask first). When the salons are slow sometimes the stylists will come and go through them, too, and make suggestions.
Good luck!

keep the red, there is nothing more vibrant than a natural red even though a few highlights in a lighter tone of the same colour might make the hair look more alive. Also since your hair is long, have long layers cut into it so that it will not fall flat around your head. if you want more body than that you can opt for a soft perm which will shape your hair nicely in big waves which will add bouce to a layered effect.

I think it would look pretty with a weave (color added) and also put in a loose curl perm.
I have had a weve put in my hair over the last 5 years and love it.
I have also had a spiral perm which is really easy to take care of.
