If you know this person well or work closely with them, take them aside and tactfully explain how their behavior makes you uncomfortable. Give them a chance to explain where they're coming from (if they want) and to correct their behavior around you. If they go back to their old ways, ignore them.

If you don't know them, ignore them period, because how they behave is usually not under your control. People will be themselves, after all, and it's not up to us to police their behavior.

Allow them to show their true selves means that you are ready and open to accept what they truly are.
These people have received the message that they aren't valued only too well, that's why they hide under a mask.
If you are true to them and allow space for mistakes and are tollerant then they will gradually get your message and open up.
But it takes time and effort from your part. Try not to be too strict.

I suppose if that person is that big a pest if you feel he or she is worthy of a stabbing then you should but people like that arent worth your time I would just make sure that they know to not hang out with you and if they bother you you will punish him severly

Love and accept her for who she is. Meanwhile, set an example of someone who knows how to set healthy boundries insteading of being a doormat (ie:people pleaser).
