My husband might be owning a car wash. He called me today and said he would be working from 7:30-6:00pm 7 days a week. I should be happy for him, he has been looking for a business for a while, but I am sad I will not see him very much :(. Is this wrong not to be happy for him?

BTW - I already work a Monday-Friday 8:30-5:00 job. I will be too tired to work with him too, unless it is on a Sunday or something.

No, you are just concerned for his health and that of your relationship. I know this guy who started a car was in Houston TX and now his family is so rich! The wife actually started merchandising, and she works there now, too. She sells all sorts of things like greeting cards, make up, car products, jewelry, college stuff, nick knacks, gum, candy and other small items that are nifty and neat. Toys for kids and prank items- a lot of different things. Don't worry, you can play a role in the business, he'll definitely need your help! Oh, its called "Bubbles Car Wash" and they own like 6 or 7 of them! Not bad!

Don't be sad, be happy! My husband started a business this year too and it is very nerve racking than anything else but it will be ok. Once he gets his groove and feels more comfortable he might be able to get some help and you will have more time with him. Think of it in a positive way, your life will change for a little while but in the end the outcome will be great! believe! trust!
Good luck and Congrats!
always stand behind him and support him, this is what he needs right now.

Yea it is. You may feel like you two may not be spending much time together with him working everyday of the week. I'm sure he'll find time to be with his loving and supporting wife. If this is what he's wanted for some time now you should give him that support he needs. You are each each others support system, bestfriend, and all the other good things. It'll work out for the best.

It sounds like he is just trying to make things better for you both in the future. Please do not wish misfortune on your husbands dream of being an independent business owner, and show him support instead. Besides once he gets to know the business and hires employees that he trusts then perhaps he will be able to work less and make more by having his employees work these long hours.

Be supportive of your husband, you have to do what you have to do. This is something about family, that I do not understand, thank God, he is working, you know where he is. he is trying to make a better life for your family, sometimes it may take a while, until it gets off the ground, and then he can hire someone to do his job. Please, celebrate with him.

wow, i can understand why you'd be upset, you don't want to see less of him, now you'll just have to make up for time lost when you are together, doing the little extras, so that he feels comfortable and loved, because he'll probably be exhausted or whatever, save up for a vacation or something, then go away relax, and enjoy each other's company...hope everything goes well!

It won't make for a happy, healthy marriage if he's working 7 days a week. You'll resent him for being gone, and he'll resent you for not understanding.

No- It not "wrong" to feel the way u do. I recently had to "be happy" for my husband when he had to leave town to work. It sucks not being able to enjoy your husabnd as often but hey 'what can u do?' u must stick by him right?, unless u don't want to. I feel u- but you will be alright. Damn it, sometimes things suck! oh well........

WELL YES AND NO. WHY ARE U NOT HAPPY IS IT JUST BECAUSE U WONT SEE HIM OR IS IT MORE? U SHOULD BE HAPPY 4 HIM BECAUSE U LOVE HIM AND HE IS HAPPY. MAYBE SENSE HE OWNS IT HE COULD FIND SOMETHING 4 U TO DO ONCE OR TWICE A WEEK THERE.
