Well first of all are either one of you married? If so really bad idea. If not I think it is OK to date someone from work as long as you both have an understanding that if your relationship should fail that both of you could remain friends and co-workers. You surely do not want to jeopardize your employment or cause any grief for your employer. Analise your own feeling and op ions to the concerns above and how you would react if this was to happen. Good Luck

Very bad.
what are you doing if you are not doing your work. The work place is the heart and strength of our country. Most of our moral values were derived by our forefathers concept of work. Its not spelled date, its not pick-up, not play around on hubby, in fact isn't the work place where sexual harassment was discovered? Lets say you and miss hotty are deep into it. You suddenly have a guilty conscience about the misses at home and now you wish to break-up with miss hotty but guess what, she's mad now, really mad and now you have a sexual harassment charge against you cause hotty don't get dumped by no chump like you. Now wifey knows, you kids, the boss,( O yea YOUR FIRED!). Out of a job you fall by the wayside and get on the welfare rolls thus becoming a burden to the state which owes you a living anyway right?
No office love affairs please.

Bad idea..... You should ask the question if any had a relationship with someone at work and what is was like!!! You'll probably find more bad than good.
Some of the common things that are bad is insecurities, employers don't like it, if you both fight your job is effected, people don't need to see the loveyness in the room, and this list can go on.......

If it doesn't work out, it's no fun at all. Especially if you're the one who breaks up because people love to take sides, especially when they have no idea what's going on.
The other thing, and that's maybe just me, I don't think I could put up with someone 24/7, well, not the sort of guys I tend to end up with.
On another hand, it might turn out to be the best thing that's ever happened to you - you never know! Follow your heart x

I depends on the situation, but I generally do not think it is a good idea. What happens if it doesn't work out and you have to see the person at work everyday. If the person is you subordinate, it could cause you big problems. If the person is your boss, it could cause the boss big problems. If just a co-worker, it might just be uncomfortable. If they other person just happens to be in the same large company and you never work together on anything, then its probably okay.

Alot of people say it is a bad idea, but I dissagree. Now I don't think it is a good idea to date your boss but other co workers I don't see a problem with it. If a person is mature enough it shouldn't get in the way of your work even if you break up.

Fun but bad idea. I got fired before for something like this. Fraternizing. Makes for a uncomfortable work place. Not just you and the person but those who know about your relationship.

Generally it's a bad idea....When all's well with the relationship it's fine but when you go through bad patches or split up it's not only difficult for those involved but also for your other colleagues.
I am currently involved with someone that I work with and am seriously considering leaving for that very reason.

It depends. Good if it can lead to a promotion. Bad if it can lead to a demotion.
Seriously though, if you have a more senior position, you should think twice because once the relationship turns sour, you're leaving yourself open to a sexual harassment claim.
